55 year old STAY... never thought I would be here... the Stray Kids rabbit hole... you will get lost. My (at that time) 12 year old daughter introduced me to them.
55 myself and I don't know another soul in my circle who's even seen a rabbit, let alone this rabbit hole. What a fun 5 years it's been for me. Found Stray Kids by accident while multitasking on the computer and haven't looked back. Can't help but feel lucky to be here. Traveling to shows and meeting other Stays, of all ages, has been an unexpected gift.
49 year old STAY-ATINY here. My Daughters introduced me to SKZ but I introduced them to ATEEZ. I don't know anyone my age in my surrounding that like KPOP. It's nice to see that I'm not alone. Loving those 2 groups since 2019. Of couse discover many more since then but both groups are VERY special to me.
It seems no one in the comments explained yet, but the title "God's Menu" makes more sense makes more sense in Korean. "신" being the "God's" part can be a play on words. Having a double meaning of like God/Divine menu, and also New menu. Basically they're serving you things you've never seen before, serving you the best etc

They even released an album called 'NOEASY' talking back to the haters the main title song on that album is called 'Thunderous'. There was a racetrack to signify that they are racing ahead their competition as well. In a certain part of the song they mention also they have a menu that will satisfy your 5 senses and even if you're just passing by you'll want to come by for more. Meaning they also have a variety type of songs as well. There are so many good songs from them softer ones like ballads, edm, rock, jazzy and r&b. So hard to recommend but the end of this video teased another song called 'Back Door' you can check that one out as well.
About their age at the time of this video, four of them were NINETEEN: the guy rapping at 3:53 & singing at 06:08 (who was also one of the writers/producers), Mr. God Voice ( 5:17 and 6:19) and the two awesome vocalists right after him (5:37, 4:20, 4:25). The rest weren't much older. What also blows my mind? The fact that when they perform this (and the majority of their songs) in concert, they do the full exhausting choreography with live vocals & a live band. I needed my inhaler and a nap just watching them, because DAMN

Stray Kids got their name because when they first debuted, they felt really lost and unsure of themselves, which you can really see in their music at the time. I highly recommend listening to their first song Hellevator because I feel like it really shows how they felt when they were debuting and might help show why they chose that name. They've come a long way since then in terms of confidence by really owning the "stray" concept though. They've really given it a whole new meaning for themselves and taking it to mean that they don't have a set path or a place where they fit in because they create their own path and do their own thing, and they've definitely stayed true to that. Throughout their whole career, people have criticized them for being too loud and for making "noise music," but every time they do, Stray Kids just makes a louder album full of songs about being themselves no matter what. It's really amazing, and it's what Stays (that's what they call their fans) love about them.

We love Stray Kids! They are 8 members that are self produced, write their own lyrics etc. Their music videos are always top tier so you will enjoy them. They have songs from every genre pretty much. They mix rap with vocals so they change up beats up a lot in one song. It’s okay if you are not as focused on the lyrics. You can always go back to lyrics. They got the name Stray Kids from a survival show where they had to do missions to become a group and debut together. BTS is one of the most successful Kpop groups in Korea. BTS is 11 yrs old and Stray Kids is only 6 yrs old. They do have members that are friends and yes one Stray Kids member did used to be a backup dancer for BTS❤ both groups are very successful and putting out different music. The only reason people say 99% is cause sometimes they have other producers have some input but if you look at their song credits 3Racha is generally first listed. Plus on collabs working with the other artist or their producers may have some input and for some things that their company put together for promotions with other groups under the same etc

What makes Stray Kids different is that unlike other K-pop groups who were chosen by the studios, 4:14 Bang Chan [Chan], the leader actually individually chose each of the members and 3Racha (the producing unit he is in) also compose both the music & lyrics to all songs, produce their own songs (check out their album intro videos where they are speaking on how they come up with the concepts for their songs ]; and they assist in creating their own choreography. In other words, 3Racha do have control over their own music. They can go to the company & say they want to change things up. That is how the track God's Menu came to being created, because they changed it to be the title track at the last minute & the company went with it. Of course, if something went wrong, they were responsible for that also. The whole situation was kind of an experiment on JYP's part, but since Chan had been a trainee for so long & JYP knew his skill set as a musician [he plays piano, guitar, drums & the ukulele], lyricist, composer, producer, rapper, singer & dancer - all by the time he was 19 years old], he was willing to take a risk that Bang Chan would know how to pick great performers. And his gamble paid off, in spades. He came up with the name, created the logo and the ending signoff. 🖖🏽

If yall wanna hear Korean Drill, the proctuction crew of this group (cuz remember they’re self produced), which consists of Bang Chan (the leader) Han and Bang Chan (the two main rappers) form a u it called 3racha and they have a self-titled song which draws inspiration from Stormzy :)

Stray Kids members Bang Chan, Changbin & Han are 3RACHA (pronounced three-racha) and they are the songwriters and producers of the group but they also have their own hip-hop, rap group. Han also does a significant amount of solo work in a variety of genres. You should checkout his song I Got It.

lol no kpop groups don’t beef they all always praise each other specially if they’re older generations from them stray kids have been open fans of bts since the beginning even covering their songs and bts have shouted out some members too the issue is probably toxic fans from each group always trying to pin them against each other when they don’t even have the same sound and style of music, but that applies to most kpop groups not just bts and skz, You all should check out their dance practice too the choreo for this song bc is crazy good but the mv doesn’t show it as much.
