It's crazy how Korone didn't even audition for Cover 😭
She got recommended by Okayu and now she's one of the most iconic member, very proud of her!
I think Miko was the other non audition (got recruited from what I remember).
Given the clips of Miko I've seen of her before HL, Yagoo (or whoever advised him) are geniuses, seeing these diamonds in the rough.
Correction, Okakoro was recomended by Fubuki and Miosha too. Gamers is people who were already with Fubuking.
@@lordofrims While Fubuki and Miosha discovered and referred Okakoro irl, Okayu went through the interview phase (and got admitted on the same day). She was also asked if she could refer someone, she also referred Korone. Korone didn't go through any interview because she was referred 3x already.

Korone is definitely the constant for introducing people and or talents into Hololive.
For me it was the She Sells Seashells by the Seashore video. I couldn't even figure out if she was programmed or real lol
I'd say aside from Coco, Korone is the next biggest reason for the english speaking world to jump into hololive/vtubers. On top of her innate talents, she learned some english, she did some English only streams, she's a big westaboo, but along side all that, she always was welcoming AND always tries to include her overseas fans.
@@zachq9005 I think Korone's viewer rate of Japan / Rest of the world was 10% / 90% at the beginning lol. Hololive wasn't sure how to deal with it xd.
Aqua was the first hololive member I saw but Korone is the one who hooked me.

Before coco, Korone was doing a pretty solid job including her overseas viewers in her streams before oversea viewers became the norm. "Hey guys~" became a phrase most JP membs used to test if they even HAD oversea viewers. She's very open minded and is so welcoming to anyone in her streams. When she streams, it's like shes grabbing her viewers hands, and having them join her. She seriously fills out the "Virtual Idol" checkboxes, and deserves that label. Hell, did you guys SEE those cartwheels?

I have many oshis, but Korone holds a special place in my heart for being the one responsible for introducing me into the world of Vtubers.
There is no doubt that Coco's achievements in promoting Hololive overseas are great.
However, I think that Korone was definitely the one who conveyed the appeal of VTubers without using language.
Each of them invaded the world in different ways.
Coco and Korone have done so much to bring people into hololive, no matter the language. Korone's western fanbase is so high

Korone was the first vtuber I ever saw, and then Gura. Those two will always be my first favorites. They hooked me so bad.
I got into hololive through korone, "the water in the fire" clip to be specific. You really do spiral into Korone and/or Pekora before they introduce you to the wider hololive and holostars worlds then vtubers in general.
Honestly the one that pointed the vtuber rabbit hole for me was Pekora, that video in Minecraft pranking other holomembers with her Halloween Pumpkin trap house with the snowmen.. But the one that dragged me down deeper was Ko'one, her monkey laughs, sudden random sound making, when she hears a sound in a video game she automatically mimics it, just to name a few reasons. 😊
I watched FBK for like, half a year or so back in 2018, but it was that same pumpkin snowmen clip that spammed Hololive clips on my recommendations. I can't believe it's been 6 years, I went from subtitled anime Japanese to now learning how to write Kanji characters from just 6 years of simping. Time flies when you're having fun, I guess.
Korone dragged me down this rabbit hole with her incredible cuteness, a laugh like an angel and a smile like the sun. Watame only slightly edges her out for me because, well, I'm Welsh and she's a sheep and also we have a saying "Anyone can cuddle but only the Welsh can cwtch" but I'm convinced Watame can give SSS++ tier cwtches.
People who love Korosan are mostly weird person. Since korosan thought was weird as well.

So I had heard about Hololive on Twitter from all the drama over dumb things, but it was actually MatPat using Korone's "Water in the Fire, WHY?!" clip that actually got me to start looking into it.
Also I very much miss Sana, her sweetness and sense of humor was always Peek.
Before i watch and simp Korone i was wondered why many girls like korone more than Pekora even their vibe kinda same. But now i can tell that because girls love dogs more than rabbit, a very very weird rabbit

For me, Korone is my 2nd favorite from the JP branch, with Subaru as my no. 1 and Miko (who led me towards the rabbit hole) as no. 3.
I forgot Watames oshi was korone LOL. I see it in Mumei, Kronii and some in sana. Feel like Watame is subtle but the influence is there.
I think Risu has said her oshi is actually Okayu, but you can't have Oka without Koro so we can just say it's both.

I have no "oshi". I love several hololive members and I respect everyone of them. I started watching vtubers since Eilene (if she can be considered one) and I was there the day Kizuna Ai debuted, but it's true Korone was the one to introduce to hololive.
Between fan animations, her good tastes in games and silly antics, all of that made me interested in this agency. I finally got hooked on when Myth debuted.
Bit of feedback: the title has clear meaning, but the wording is awkward. You can use "whose" in a ([person]-whose-[object]) structure to indicate possession/ownership/belonging. Like this:

Korone was also my gateway into HL. For me it was TURTLE HOUSE and some Poly Bridge/Bridge Constructor game that I kept seeing clips from on Twitter, then Miko's GTA and lava clips sealed the deal for me.
I hope those two understand just how much influence they had for western audiences because holy moley. They are amazing at capturing attention.

It was Korone's Doom stream that hooked me. I don't think it's an amazing coincidence how many English speakers were introduced to hololive by her, since she plays so many western games (not that others don't play western games, of course, but Korone seems to play the biggest variety of them, along with maybe Miko).
Show a westerner an adorable cartoon dog girl playing Doom in Japanese (except when she yells "CHAINSAW! CHAINSAW!" in delightfully excited English), and dare them to turn it off.

I know Vtuber through Kizuna Ai, but what really sells me is when I found out Korosan sings Getter Robo theme and GodMars theme. After that, I checked her channel and greeted by retro games. I am directly sold.

I think the first vtuber I ever saw or heard about was Ironmouse, and she can sing beautifully but I never had too much interest in watching much beyond that. But youtube recommended some korone clips and wow, she is just so funny and charismatic it is insane. These days my oshi is Fauna, but Korone was my first. Korone might even still be my number 1 if I spoke Japanese, but as it stands I can only watch translated clips of her.

My first Vtuber was Tsukino Mito a few months after she debuted, later I found Korone, Aki and later Marine Senchou, Noel and Coco Kaichou became my last and fav oshis.
Since I'm old school I fell into the rabbit hole thanks to Mikocchi but her classical colllabs PekoMiko Wars and, particularly, Mikkorone lead me to this Great Doggo. So at that point I got 4 oshis Miko, Pekora, Aki and Korone. Finally I realized my Kami-oshi was Mumei all this time, so the circle is closed because I found out that Mumei is so similar to Korone, both are wholesomely weird and alyaays got dark pop culture references. That attracts me a lot
