the HEMI will sure be a beast but man the original 5.9 magnums in those things sound like absolute monsters. I have a HEMI RAM myself with way more hp now but i was never ever able to make it sound like that old 5.9. and the way it would rock the truck side to side when revving it was so bad-ass.. It also felt more direct when you punched the throttle, the hemi feels like its always being modulated by the computer
Best part about it is it's Mopar! Either chassis or drivetrain. I don't have a issue with the Comanche having an LS. But I think your next build should be a mustang body with a 392 or hellcat drift wagon newer body 2015 up maybe?..(only way I would ever own a Ford) 🤢🤮. Keep up the great work 👍👌✌️
Love your work as usual.I still say a truck needs a shifter, not a knob!I drive a Maverick at work, not a bad truck, quick as hell but hate that knob shifter.
Those 8HP's are designed to get up to temp quickly with that transfer heater. They shift better at temp. Kind of late now that you tapped the holes. But something to consider on future builds.
The zf 8hpxx is designed to run at 176°F. The point of the coolant to oil cooler is actually so the fluid comes up to temp faster. I'm in the final steps(need to put the trans in) of swapping my 04 ram 2500 to a zf 8hp70. The amount of research I have done is insane. If you have any questions ask away I'll reply.
I'd recommend running a water to oil cooler with a cooler, add a bypass valve so you can flip a switch to use the cooler when needed. Hope that makes sense. The point here is to get the trans to operating temp just as fast as the truck does. This will improve shift quality and trans life. I know u know what ur doing but this is going to save you time and money in the long run. Also I professionally work on cars so unlike most of the keyboard warriors here I actually know what I'm talking about.
Check with reversion raceworks about a dash bezel. They have a bezel for most of the aftermarket screens including the 12 inch holley for 87-96 dakotas. I'm sure they would make them for rams too
I need a new vacuum blend door actuator for my 93 dakota, but they arent made. Even though the same one was used in the dakotas and rams until 2000. There is a company gauging distributor interest in a new run of them, but I don't know if that will pan out.
Love to see some 2nd gen gasser love! Do you have a company you consult with about these swaps? I want to swap a 6.4 into my 3rd gen ram but I want to make sure everything in the interior functions as intended so thats making things more difficult.
What are you using to control the 8 speed? I am doing a hemi swap and have been waiting on a 4l80e with no ship date in sight, I would cancel that and run 8 speed if affordable.
That dash pad neede to be painted chocolate brown...and witout putting rubber between the plastic and metal frame it will squeak...ask me how i know hahahaha
Nah this woodgrain matches the woodgrain on the doors and is classic. I can buy a brand new black one all day easy. Can't find these woodgrain ones anywhere!

I meant for the gauges cluster. I have a 93 dakota and the dash is in great shape, but if it ever goes bad there are only coverlay options for now...
Where did you get the transmission harness
You have no idea how excited I am for this build. I'm a huge 2nd gen lover. Ty for this series 🤙💯
Glad you enjoy it!
Outstanding job!!!! That's gonna be the quietest dashboard for that style truck ever lol
I really like how this SST is coming together. The Hemi and 8 speed transmission fit like a glove! Awesome work!
My favorite build on youtube, let's go!!!
Thanks big things on the way!!
Can't wait to see!!!

That dash is going to look real classic with that tan interior you found a great one brother
This one is taking longer than expected but it should be awesome once finished!

Yessir! I have a big surprise coming for everyone!
Awesome build! I’m amazed the 4th gen driveshaft fit. You should tint the windows to keep the Florida sun off that dash
I watch and like every episode keep up the good work brother!!!
Love your work as usual.I still say a truck needs a shifter, not a knob!I drive a Maverick at work, not a bad truck, quick as hell but hate that knob shifter.
Part number for the transmission harness
Thumbs Up ! Dash looks really good.
Man great work 🙌 You have some strong patience brother.
one step closer dash looks good ..
Heck yeah!!
This truck is going to be so nice. Great job!!!
Thanks clay! She’s finally coming together 💪

This is setup the same way as the cars with the 8HP70. None of the cars have the heater box. We’re all good 👍
I'm loving this whole series so far, keep it going brother.

Great job Bro, looks killer so far!
Great progress!! Wow!

The dash clean 👌
I like how you work all over the truck at the same time that's how I do it 😂😂
I would like to see the truck all one color. White with black stripes would look nice
The hvac controls would drive me nuts being sideways. I wonder if someone can print you an overlay to rotate the text upright. That would be sweet.

This is coming together officially 🙌 its gonna look badass and a lil bit of modern touches on this 🤙🏼 #BSTEDMTRSPRTS
Are you going to be able to use the factory gear indicator in the dash?
Thanks for the video what transmission controller are you using?
Looks great! Great job bro!
Awesome man

We do all our own work and offer consulting

It’s a kit from sound German automotive
It’ll be fine without the heater… I put an 8hp70 in a ‘04 V6 Dakota with just a Derale in line thermostat…!
First ❤
💪

Need to paint that woodgrain looking dash piece black
Nah this woodgrain matches the woodgrain on the doors and is classic. I can buy a brand new black one all day easy. Can't find these woodgrain ones anywhere!
I would leave the 355 rear end in it. Little better fuel mileage and top end also your not racing it
🤘🏻🔥💪🏻🏁
Almost there brother 💪
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😎🫡🍺
You need to get a work table! I cringe seeing you kneel on that concrete all the time!
