@@sagittnet2158 hey sensei just did a compression test on the rebuilt engine, idk if you remember I told you I was getting blow by. I was getting between 145 and 150 psi on all cylinders. Do you think that's a little low?
@@carvedfromlife8949 Your almost at service limit of 135 psi. Have you tried pouring a spoon of oil per cylinder and see if it'll change a bit. Do you have any oil consumption problem or noticing a blue smoke out on your tail pipe? Have you check your PCV?
@@sagittnet2158 haven't noticed any blue smoke, I've checked the radiator fluid for bubbles. I haven't checked it with oil in the cylinder yet, I'm not sure on the oil consumption because I tried to resurface the block myself and I do have an oil leak near the water pump between the head and block. Im assuming maybe I can be losing compression there if it's not sealed correctly. Just thought I'd play with it a little more but most likely gonna get an f20 or h23. It seems to drive fine but ya the compression doesn't seem good.
Had same problem with 97 dodge ss/t with manza 3/4 length headers drove truck while then removed headers used carbon marks on header flange ground too port match made little difference. Other 99 sh prelude got 2 1/2 exhaust with warlock muffler soon going to remove stock header manifold put new o2 sensors on cat and. Check maybe smooth the difference if any between exhaust and cylinder head . take care
I have a G23. Followed your videos to do it. The videos were very helpfull. One issue though I have No VTEC changed the oring clean the vtec and still nothing any ideas?
Check your vtec solenoid by disconnecting it and hook up a wire and momenrarily applying a 12 v, you should hear a clicking sound if the solenoid is good.
Sensei sagittt is back!
Lol, whazzz up! Thanks

@@carvedfromlife8949 the oil that you see on waterpump side could be coming from either valve cover gasket or from camshaft seals.
