Well you've got to put your feet down when doing the boneless variations which are fun to do and they look cool too. Plus it adds to the overall variety of tricks.

It is not talent if it does not teach? Obviously we are seeing what we want to see but if he gets injured his livelihood ends? That is the problem with "going big" in skateboarding. It detracts from finer points? I like watching him but it hurts to think I am somehow the one at fault for supporting a dangerous activity that can go wrong. And it will. That kind of luck does not last forever? I am talking about developing the whole experience and not watching a trapeze act that can fall down.

I think it comes from a place that sees skateboarding potentially progressing more and more in status and to frame it "individualized," or "underground," and "outcaste" alone, takes away from its ability to become a step by step process that can help it evolve into an intellectual activity as well. I guess it is a mainstream thing to think that anyone who has a board can become a skater. I see many downfalls to the quote unquote "attitude" of skateboarding being segmented or kept in a way that deters development rather than blitzkrieg.

Why such convoluted ramblings? You're making zero sense.

@@JM1675 fixed it up. It is there but not coming out in a developed manner because I never spent the time to really apply it to words. It is much easier as a release activity rather than something worthy of making sense of.

@DanielBx I agree that getting paid to do something you love is a consequence of you spending a lot of time and effort on a sport and talent - in a certain degree - also plays a role. However, a lot of skaters stop enjoying skateboarding after having gone pro due to pressure that comes from expectations and having to perform and improve. As a recent example, this UK pro skater committed suicide because the pro lifestyle was doing him in.
