This is the most detailed koi fish painting demonstration available online. I am also a koi enthusiast and for me this is the best so far in all of UA-cam videos available. Thank you for sharing your amazing gift.

I like it! love the rocks so much. A great idea for a different background. I enjoyed this a lot. You inspired me to stretch the background I already have to see if I can make it more interesting...or just ruin the whole thing, of course!!! Thanks!

Just love watching you paint & your energy & was on that island feeding those koi fish at 11 & they rush you. I know they say drawing can be learned skill but some of us didn’t get as much (myself) & trying to transfer w copy paper (no), drawing it myself (try but looks not like koi fish) & only other way is light box.
Printer knowledge still in the 70’s mentally so print something get half of fish!
Maybe try smaller lil koi fish “abstract” 😊! Can still enjoy painting even if not big koi fish.

Really gorgeous. It's amazing what that little bit of green did - and the way you made sure to use a light and dark value. The cerulean blue also added a lot. Inspiring video; thank you!

Thank you very much. It’s amazing what one color can do to change the look of a painting.

Not sure if your painting is far enough along. Looks like the fish is laying on top of the rocks. Where are the water reflections and shadows.

Just a sketch, more interested in demonstrating painting the koi, but excellent points, a finished painting would require more. Thanks.

@@Rkmcguire Thanks for the very enjoyable video and love your koi, but I agree with Lola. I would love to see it as a finished painting, with a sense of the fish actually being under water with slight swirls of water swishing over the top of the fish as. well as the rocks.
