  • @Chris-wq3pe

    Adams does have a nice jump shot, he just isn't called upon to shoot from mid range or beyond. Go look at his earlier play videos, the dude can shoot, he isn't just a bully baller. Loads of skills, Thunder need to utilise him more from outside the paint, he can add a lot more avg points. He still needs to be more aggressive for the whole game, when he's in attack mode he's an absolute beast, need to see more of that. Love this man, hard as nails in an increasingly soft NBA and my favourite center in the league.

    • @therandomraving7490

      He has an awesome post up hook shot (rolling to either left or right hand). That's unstoppable one-on-one. He used it against Gobert a couple times. It surprised me that they never used him as a scoring option when PG, Melo and Russ were cold. I mean he shoots at around 60%.. Just wish Donovan and Russ would run plays for him.. and not just drop off dunks, but let him post up one-on-one.

      Favors and Gobert gave Steve a good hard series. I love those old school bigs.. I used to think Gobert was just a gangly clumsy fool, but he's an intimidator in the paint. Russ had a hard time driving to the basket, and PG just didnt want to go near the guy. This series made me a fan of Gobert. Still an OKC fan though.

    • @alexstephens4326
      @alexstephens4326 6 років тому +1

      Platinum Pineapple that makes sense, here’s two reasons why you should want the Jazz to win though. 1. If jazz could actually win western conference it makes the Thunder look like a stronger team. 2. Thunder may actually be a championship contender and if the Jazz do it this year, they will have all the confidence they can do it next year. If your going to lose you should want to lose to the best. But jazz are playing a tough Houston team so it’s not very likely and I understand your feelings it sucks when your team loses.

    I think Adams is the best true big man in the NBA right now. Low post game, hits the boards hard, can run, rim protect, sets massive screens when asked. Total package. The Thunder need to reassess their overall offensive package and look to slow things down a little bit more to accommodate his skills and tone down the wear and tear on Russ. Also, find a way to keep George in Oklahoma and send Carmelo packing; he's no longer worth the price tag and isn't willing (so far as given in statements) to help the team by running with the second unit.

    He can't be any worse than PG or Melo hitting 3 pointers. Has mental toughness and won't get fazed if you give him the ball and tell him shoot. Jury's out on whether PG can handle the spotlight.

    • @austinkimmell6397
      @austinkimmell6397 6 років тому

      malachi93 i forreal kept thinking. Throw Utah a curve ball and have Steven Adams nail a three here on an inbounds play! Nope! Russ got the ball gave it to PG who jacked a three! Jazz would've given Steven a wide open corner three if we had set up the play.

    I like Adams a lot. He's an old school bruiser. One of the commenters noted he'd benefit from working with Hakeem and O'Neal. Big time! I was just looking at NBA salaries. Ranker.com has Adams listed as the 10th best center in the League. There's an amazing premium in the modern NBA for true centers. If memory serves, Adams will make around 24 million this upcoming season. That's a fortune for the 10th best player at his position. I sure don't blame Adams for taking the money!

    Look trade Melo try to get somebody like a Jalen Brown type, try to keep Paul George, make Steven Adams work on his Mid-range and post. And they can do something big next year. THE BIG 3 RIGHT THERE

    • @Sauczi
      @Sauczi 6 років тому

      XmoneyGirlsCandy Adams can already post up and shoot 3s and middies they just don't let him, Billy Donovan only makes him get rebounds and screens

    • @skux20
      @skux20 6 років тому

      Lmao we aren't trading our future star in Jaylen for that overpaid turd in okc. Y'all had oladipo and let him slip. Y'all already know what you need to do and that's to trade russ. OKC ain't winning shit with him as the lead dog.

    • @SuperDJGMONEY
      @SuperDJGMONEY 6 років тому

      You don't listen I didn't say lets get Jaylen I said get a Jaylen type player on the team. And what are you talking about Oladipo for lol, he is in a system where he is the first option and his the main focus on offense. Look at Kevin Love back when he was playing with Minnesota getting 20+ points and 10 boars a game, and he was the first option; so now he plays with LBJ where he has to be less aggressive which mean numbers drop. Russell need a very good robin keep Adams and get a bunch of 3 point shooter defenders, and a good back up PG. Also y'all Boston fans finna lose to Lebron in the ECF hahahahaha!!! And I'm not a okc fan.

    • @skux20
      @skux20 6 років тому

      XmoneyGirlsCandy the fact that your dumbass thinks they can get a 20ppg scorer that plays defense for a washed up, ball hogging, 7 points in 3 games, no defense playing Carmelo displays your idiocy when talking nba. Love can still a make shots unlike melo and doesn't pass up shots and set screens for jerami grant who can't shoot for shit. Haha you know fuck all westbrooks a cancer. Presti should've got rid of him long ago. And the fact that you think the thunder can contend with Westbrook as the batman just shows absolute stupidity.

    • @SuperDJGMONEY
      @SuperDJGMONEY 6 років тому

      Okay! you finished or is you done!! You don't listen. You one of those people who don't really read the whole paragraph only reads a sentence and think you know what the person was saying. You can keep writing lol but everything you saying I already explained in my first post.

  • @ajk4842
    @ajk4842 6 років тому +9

    Adams is OKC's long term investment. When Russ eventually loses his athleticism which is a big reason why he is so great, and retires, OKC is gonna build around Adams. And probably Grant and Abrines. All 3 of them are only 24 years old. Keep them 3 and OKC has a bright future passed the "OK3" experiment.

    • @therandomraving7490
      @therandomraving7490 6 років тому +1

      Agree with you there. Im a fan of both those guys. If Grant can develop a mid range jumper or post up moves, he in tandem with Adams would be a force in the paint, then kick out to Abrines when the defense collapses. Good group of guys to build.. they need another pure shooter who isnt Melo.

    • @austinkimmell6397
      @austinkimmell6397 6 років тому +2

    So true, from the reporter 👍asking when are you going to shoot the 3. Steve! YOU NEED TO START SHOOTING THEM NOW honestly at least 2 or 3 a game, but that's a Billy D problem he is not telling Steve what to do, coach Billy needs to incorporate this into their system. A couple of trades as well would help such as lou williams or j.holiday and either m.chriss or s.labisiere (so a SG & a PF) IMO get rid of Felts and TLC and 2Pat and Nader. Getting Skal he could play PF or be the 3rd back up for Steven @ center.

    Oh I understand... He's just unsure if his "English" terminology is landing correctly because he may be still new at speaking it all the time. Does that make sense??

      In my opinion... He's been speaking English his whole life, English is the main language in new Zealand

      Junior Senikauciri but it's Aussie English. Not American English. Which is also different from ACTUAL English in England. Theres different terminology and slang

      In my opinion... It's Kiwi-English. Aussie-English isn't the same.

    His English & wide range of words used is better than most Americans...& he doubts it still by asking "does that make sense"?
    He could be asking that cause American media are often too stupid to understand straight forward answers. Proof of that is any Trump press conference.
    He makes sense, he just doubts they understand it, which is fucking hilarious & a great passive troll on them

    This guy acts like he's just there.... no big deal about anything.
    Isn't he pissed off that they were expected to go further and basically got handled by a younger less experienced team?
    He's like...eh so what no big deal.
    He'd be so much better if he had a different demeanor, like a Westbrook or a KG or Kobe.
    This bloke sits there smacking his gum and gives the impression like he could give two rips that their season is over.
