They banned Mew but not Hoopa. Allowing in a Ghost type for a Psychic Cup is just sheer negligence...
Not even obtainable if you missed the quest, this thing is way too strong for this cup.

Idk personally I have yet to lose to a hoopa. Yeah it has a lot of fast move pressure, but it is laughably frail. Unless you’re trying to play some sort of team with low charge move pressure I can’t imagine it being overwhelming. Mew is scary because it has great pacing, damage, and coverage. Hoopa only has damage, and as we see with Pokémon like gardevoir or Bruxish that isn’t enough to be ban worthy.
Psychic cup and master league in the same week is terrible
I gotta say that watching Hoopa fast move down a shadow Gardevoir is kinda crazy.

The only difference in my team is Glowbro in for Hoopa. Poison Jab, Sludge Bomb + Brutal Swing. I didn't lose a single match yesterday, which is a first for me. It probably helps that I played against a bunch of people with bad teams, of course.
I take it back. I just tried Hoopa instead of Glowbro and it was absolutely hilarious. What a cancerous Pokémon for this meta. 😂

I think with the move rebalance that the Psychic cup is kind of systemically flawed to encourage degen tap-tap teams.
You dont need any charge moves, you only need 3 fast moves in mirror match

This is actually for real; hoopa is a glass cannon that takes ghost type and dark type attacks extremely horribly. But my hoopa is worst than some other peoples’ hoopas and it nearly gets 2 shotted in a mirror 😭

yea i had to trade someone for one. did 3 and they all got 15 attack, one went lucky and gave me a hundo claydol lol. the one time i don't want good IVs from a trade.

I’ve been using Hoopa and Claydol as well. I got a lot of 4-1 sets yesterday.
I used Bronzong instead of Rapidash.

I think Claydol and G Slowbro are the top contenders in this meta. The buffs they received make them exponentially better in this format. The only hard check to Clay is Xatu, which… lol.

As soon as I started with hoopa more than half of all my matches today (all 20 of them ) had malamar leads. But I know as soon as I swap to rapidash lead suddenly it's only galarian Slowbro , or bronzong
I genuinely ended up on this same team, wanted to try out Hoopa. Claydol was very strong and S. Gard was too inflexible.

I have been doing great with Hidden Power Bug Shadow Duosion to delete malamar. The Malamar safe swaps have no idea what hit them.
switched claydol safe switch for malamar w/ psywave. went slightly positive but def recommend psycho cut

You know it’s an awful cup when a 2nd charge move is essentially irrelevant on a handful of the top meta pokemon. Niantic’s truly blundered this one. Ended in high 2300s yesterday, but my god is this cup miserable.

I only have bronzong Malamar and gal rapidash build for this cup legit only three I have I keep changing leads and swaps around any advice? How would you play this team I don’t have stardust as I used it to make a team for ultra league so it’s really just these three

Ghost typing resists the normal typing of body slam.
How are you even able to play this game without lag i mean i tried playing today lost almost all the matches just won 1 or 4 i think in full set, niantic should work on this i know they dont even care about this anymore plus recently i heard they are making this game for just iphone user purpose i mean playing on andriod is just painful its breaking my heart dont have any solution right now too much lag
