Eugene, I am happy for all of your success! I'm proud to be able to be associated with you and call you a former teammate from Shoemaker. You are the example that I use now as a football coach when I try to get rid of the toxic, homophobic culture that is still prevalent in sports. I know you have experienced a ton of homophobic abuse over the years, and I hope that I can continue to grow as an ally and be a positive example for the young men that I now teach and coach; so we can continue to grow as a loving, accepting society.
