Beautifully executed. The tempo was perfect. The conductor, the organist and the choir performed well. Thank you for this beautiful video. O Master, let me walk with thee.
That’s the tempo I play that hymn at (I’m a church organist.) They were doing an invitation as well, and usually they use hymns that are prayers, and are slower hymns that are more contemplative. An invitation (to anyone that might not be aware) is for someone that is becoming a Christian for the first time, rededicating their life to Christ, or perhaps a personal issue that they need prayer about (and will pray with the pastor, or other designated individuals.) There might be other reasons as well.
I agree. The tempo is just right. We are living in a fast-paced world. However, it is good to sit back and savor this beautiful video. So tou hing. Reinforces my dedication to walk with my Master. This video should move many people to Christ. We need to walk with Christ.
I don't agree that the pianist should be ditched - ABSOLUTELY NOT. Whoever you are, KEEP ON USING THE TALENT THAT GOD GAVE YOU, TO THE GLORY OF HIS NAME - JESUS CHRIST.
The Conductor got the timing RIGHT, for this particular hymn. All hymns cannot be sung at a fast pace, because people might miss the message. Congratulations, and keep up the good work. To God be the glory - great things He's doing in your lives - The Conductor, Organist, Pianist, and last but not least, the Choristers. "Keep on keeping on," as the saying goes. Bless you all, in Jesus Name.

Nice alternate harmonization
Try a Harp instead of the Piano, it would be a more Graceful blend. No dis.
Can anyone please tell me what
service free; means in this hymn?
Thanks
O Master, let me walk with thee
In lowly paths of service free;
It means your service to the Lord is given freely, not out of a sense of responsibility or duty but of desire to serve him.
@@nigelcollins5152 Thank you very much Mr. Collins, you've put a smile on my face, and I'll share this information.
Why are people coming to the front and kneeling at the altar? I do not see the sacraments being served.
Call to prayer
Tempo too slow
Also, no offense to the pianist, but ditch the piano!

Too slow!
Agree. It's drawn out a bit too much. But it is a lovely hymn.

@@barbarahaughton7400 I agree with you,....this is not a hymn that should not be sung at a fast pace. The conductor had the tempo just right!
