I think you will have to remove the entire ceilings all through and check the walls where you have water damage on the floor, obviously water is coming in. It’s been a beautiful trailer. Wishing you all the best. You’ve got this!!
You can do this … It’s like putting makeup on the ceiling…Get rid of the mold you can cover with a lot of pretty but cheap This will be a shiny Diamond when your done . Good Luck 🍀 just sub.
Congratulations🍾 🎉on your new home....daunting but really, really exciting too! It'll feel like a stately home after being in your car 😊 I wish you the very best of luck with your 'project' 👍🏻👋🏻🇬🇧
Congratulations! New Wyoming subscriber. Yes you'll have a lot of work to fix everything to make it safe and working and make it your own BUT it will be amazing when you are done! You can do it. With help from family & friends plus utube has videos on how to fix just about everything!!
It's not just the particle board -- you need to remove the entire ceiling and likely replace the framing pieces. plus all of the water damaged insulation.
Be sure and wear a respirator mask when you work on your projects until you everything that has mold on it is removed. Your health is the most important thing.
You can't live in that with all that mold! This goes for your dog too. This is a project that requires you to protect your lungs from breathing in ALL that mold. Like while you were making this video! These are not good life choices. Figure out another living arrangement, at least until the mold is taken care of. You figured out how to live in a car these past years. Figure out how to do it a little longer, knowing you now something bigger to live in waiting for you AFTER you do all the hard work making it habitablle, FIRST.
Hi, physician here, and with some experience in workplace and environmental health, like “sick building syndrome.” And, the risk of mold is often exaggerated. We all live with a some mold around us daily. There are a few strains of mold which are more toxic than most (stachybotrys) but those are fairly rare. And even all “black mold” is not bad. Many mold strains are black in color and harmless to most people with a functioning immune system. Just that some of the more toxic strains happen to be dark. So it makes sense to repair damage and wear masks until cleaned, but some mold from water damage is usually NO huge health risk. Any human walking in the woods is breathing in mold spores from rotting wood and leaves. Many have over-hyped the risk of mold, and as with everything in medicine, there are a few people who DO get serious issues from mold. But millions are around mold just fine, and much of the hype came from people selling mold and water damage repair services, or well-meaning people passing that exaggerated message along. Comments can’t be medical advice, and this isn’t, but it’s correct to say many sources exaggerate the health risks of mold.
I appreciate the info! I have multiple air purifiers just in case and I've already treated to kill it. I'd obviously prefer no mold at all but here we are!
Consider the white "plastic paneling" sheets to replace your ceiling. Lightweight, moisture proof (cooking, showers, etc.) And easy to clean.

Be encouraged! It will be wonderful when you finish. Definitely better than living in your car.

Yea that's not an option. The mold has been treated already.
