Wowzers! I dont understand why this has such little views. This is among some of the best covers I've listened to. In my mind; I almost always prefer when an artist covers a song and they keep most of the notes, melodies and song structure close to the original while throwing random original spices of their own and not overdosing it with to many extended vocals and riffs and whatnot. I quite liked the random couple notes the guitarist threw in during the verse. Done it in a way that is his style of playing while not pooping on what was already great. That and the way she would do the one or two word screams in a way that makes you feel the slow methodical build up to the ending chores where she screams it in its entirety. Just nails it. I don't think there is a better well rounded female vocalist than Amanda in all of today's rock - she can do it all and still sound her own unique self!
The arrangement is not that suitable for her voice coz it's been cut to one octave range instead of 2 , which sucks a bit. I'd chose a different key to sing in this case. Nonetheless, overall, the performance of the entire band is pretty good.
It's just because it was a live performance ....Live is usually different to studio ....sometimes not by much but in this instance it is a fair bit different from how she sounds in studio but is still very good
