Simon is still so tiny compared to the other raccoons, even though he’s always eating. He must have a very fast metabolism! Poor Simon. He’s always been my favorite! He’s so sweet.💜

Absolutely wonderful. I just love watching these beautiful creatures. It's so heartwarming. We in Michigan like that macaroni and cheese too☺️. The eleven baby raccoons I saved this spring were orphaned unfortunately. Four were newborn. But all did amazing. This is wonderful before bedtime. Thank you as always for your kindness and care ❤️

The last few videos have been really compelling. I'm fascinated about why they come to you, why the allow you to touch them--is this normal for raccoons? (I'm just asking rhetorically.) I watched one from Nov 2020 where there were 25-30 raccoons and wondered about your cat and if he/she interacts... Don't mind me, just trying to express my appreciation for you putting these up, they help a work night pass pleasantly.
Jim has been doing this for 22 years. He has gained the trust of many that come to him to eat on the deck. Not all will let him touch them. These are wild animals and are not domesticated. They smell the food and they come initially to eat and they know a good thing, and decide to frequent the diner up to their hibernation in the winter. They do eat in the forest also. They also drink from the brook and river near Jim’s property. Some come and eat for a few years and some only pass through and visit . I hope this helps answer some of your questions.
Charlotte and Connor do not go outside. The cats watch sometimes, but they do not interact. Over the years when Jim had outdoor cats they didn’t interact together with the raccoons, but would eat at the same time on the deck pretty much ignoring each other. No fights, everyone got along with each other.

Really dry & hot here in the UK. Put more water bowls out last night for the hedgehogs & birds. Also the wasps & lone bees are using them to get water. So many of our wildlife can’t find water at the moment. Love seeing the babies & adult raccoons 🦝

We are expecting some thunderstorms and rain next week...i Hope 😀 Im glad to know that hedgehogs Can count on you...👍👍 I put some water bowls outsider too...but Im sad for the plants and animals....

I think some are a little nervous still of coming up near the younger new ones just in case mama is nearby and of course the younger ones are still getting used to you. All in all a nice turn out for this meal.

So happy the babies showed up! They are so precious, and you can tell how much they trust you. Furby really is a show all by himself! LoL. I so enjoy watching him. And when he’s done….
