Simon as I sat with you on yer bike, zooming along I was back jn the 60's ( late😊) Taking my cycling proficiency test. Anyone else remember them? 26ins wheels, big drop handlebars and a flash water bottle ( filled with tap not designer water😊)Tasty looking bacon bap,but £5😮 tadge top heavy. Some brilliant drone footage, the music spot on❤ A really nice laid back video, no hassle, just mellow 😊❤ Tally ho & a toast The King Gawb bless 'im Allan&Family
@@peterlindley3756 Worth a fortune now on the Antiques Road Show .Sadly mine lost to the mist's of time. Did you get any bars? Don't remember any of my mates getting any.I was happy with what I got. Were they better days or do we just select the good ones. Cheers
Been there a few times, love that bit of coastline Whitby to Saltburn. We will have to visit again soon. I agree with others about the price of the butty, we were in town today and a full English with tea/coffee £7.00. Ok, 70 miles inland, but no one can tell me those cafes at the coast pay much more than the others inland for their stock. I know business rates are more expensive on the coast, but they shouldn't try to make that back on EVERY customer they get. Charge less for good food and you'll get more footfall through your doors, I promise you. People love value for money, especially in these times. Nice video as ever Simon.
I've used this cafe since the late 1970's in all its permutations. No visit to Whitby is complete without a coffee there followed by a walk on the beach. In the 1970's it was a polystyrene cup and sitting on one of those benches watching the waves and no charge for parking at all! The cafe was a small hut then, and as you say it is very much for the tourists now but the location has great memories. I adore Sandsend so finding a wristband there would have been the icing on the cake! All the best to you and Mrs M.
Loved your video. I was watching Stephen , A walk on the wild side, on UA-cam A vid about staying a Wetherspoon hotel in Whitby and 4 mins 14 seconds who was there was you 😊 sitting at a table looking like you are on your phone. You get everywhere, your like water 😀.
Hi Simon, beautiful place Sandsend with lovely scenery & what a lovely spot to sit & enjoy a Bacon Sandwich with a coffee. Thank you for sharing, take care chin, chin 💜
I don't know, you have all the gadgets! I know where one wrist band is. Hanging on a jewelry tree in my house I will be wearing it when I am back in Whitby next.
Had the waitress sat on that bacon butty it looked well squashed and is £5 not a bit steep for a bacon butty especially out of season but I suppose they will charge what they can get away with good job Mrs M didn't go with you
@mpcjohnson 15.5mph maximum power assistance. After that, you're on your own. I THINK the largest motor you can legally have is 250w if I recall. Hope this helps
Been there many times - have always thought its a bit over priced and the food over rated but I guess you're paying for the location - and their profits!
I hope people don’t take this the wrong way, but with cafes like that, it’s a case of get as much money out of few visitors, rather than have cheap prices and draw lots of people in! But then it’s all been driven to this by minimum/living wage outgoing costs!
bike speed is supported legally to 15mph by the motor, then you’re pedalling a brick if you want to go faster,no limit ,but no electric power. Simon..dear friend…protect that lovely head of yours with a helmet..you’re not going to send many new videos if you’re in an accident.
Thx for the update Simon, will certainly give this place a miss at those prices 😢

Ha, I noticed that too. A pity we couldn't have had a crossover episode.

Appreciate the video, at least I know not to call here at those prices. The breadcake was very small , very disappointing.
I don't know, you have all the gadgets! I know where one wrist band is. Hanging on a jewelry tree in my house I will be wearing it when I am back in Whitby next.

Are there any places that change prices 'out of season'?
No backy or tandem so Mrs. M. can join in the meander?
Hi Simon, is there a maximum speed for electric bikes? 😉😉😉
Probably
@mpcjohnson 15.5mph maximum power assistance. After that, you're on your own. I THINK the largest motor you can legally have is 250w if I recall. Hope this helps

If I ever win the lottery I might visit and pay that for a tiny butty that looks like it's been sat on.
You will have to start cooking at home 😁 cheaper but enjoy
