My Galaxy S23 Ultra maybe only loses 2% or 3% overnight, without power saving mode turned on. I have my phone in light performance mode, which I can't tell the difference between normal and light because it is just that good. I also have in the developer settings, enabled limit background apps, and generally before going to bed, I close out of any applications that were left open, and then clear the system ram using the device care widget, also don't leave bluetooth and NFC turned on as they are not being used, so all they are doing is draining battery. I also have a few apps that would normally run all the time or once in a while that I don't use and are not useful to the phone's operational capacity, disabled which helps performance overall and battery life. Another thing, TURN OFF RAM PLUS! This feature is great if you do not have more then maybe 4gb of RAM, because it uses part of the system storage as virtual RAM. It is slower then normal RAM, but gives you more to use and prevents a lot of apps from just crashing, as well as the whole system itself from crashing. However, 8gb or more and this feature only harms your device, as constant read and write to the storage will wear out the chip a lot faster then normal use, causing read and writes to become really slowed down, and possibly lose files to corruption or simply having that bit of the chip die. It also uses more power and CPU, meaning if you disable it, it will give you more system performance, as well as increase battery life and the life of your system storage. I have 12gb of RAM on my 512gb S23 Ultra, and at best 6 and half gb of RAM are being used, when the phone is busy, and I do a lot with my phone, never reaching 7gb of RAM or even 8gb, so you don't need RAM Plus enabled, why it is enabled by default on phones that don't need it and wont ever need it is beyond me, as again, all it does with phones 8gb RAM or more is drain battery faster, use up system resources, and damages the storage chip a hell of a lot faster then normal use does. I do nothing different other then not use the highest resolution, since I don't notice a difference as the screen is small enough that it just looks amazing in either mode, and I rarely charge my S23 Ultra, maybe once every 4 days, 3 if I have higher then normal use for me, which includes 30 minutes to 1 hour of youtube, maybe 1 hour of music, and 2 or 3 hours of screen on time outside of youtube use, all using the phones speaker and not my bluetooth speaker or Galaxy Buds2 Pro's. The general screen on time is like browsing the internet, news stories, also do some light gaming on mobile games and emulators. I should also say I bought this S23 Ultra used, it was not new, and yet out of the box minus the massive crack on the back glass from the delivery service who gave the phone a flying lesson to my door step, you could have said it was new and I would have believed you, if you don't count the already opened but original box it came with.
You charge your phone once every 3 days? Wtf? Are you even using it? xD I have S23 Ultra as well, and only a few times has it lasted me 2 days, otherwise I charge it daily
@@livinglegend1100 I did explain how much I normally use it during the day, which is moderate to high usage. IF you are unable to get more then a day out of yours with similar or less usage, then you either have an absolute shit ton of apps running in the background and maybe have a super bright screen and AOD and whatever else... This phone can easily last 3 or 4 days on a single charge with light to moderate usage. If you are not using the built in eSIM, get it switched over as SIM cards can cause battery drain issues depending on the age or any possible defects in the card or card's data, also maybe look into battery saving measures online, but other then the few things I have done with mine, with moderate to light usage you should easily get 3 or 4 days. - I suggest you turn off RAM Plus - Enable developer settings and find the background app limit and set it to 2 or 3 - Always use half or less brightness because the phone screen is more then bright enough at half and wont damage the screen quickly over time - Do not use the max resolution of the screen, as it makes no visual difference, but uses a lot more battery - Go to settings, battery, background usage limits, and go through all your apps, setting them to deep sleep or sleep or never sleep. - Pretty obvious and should be set by default, Dark Mode, as these screens are able to turn off parts of the screen that are black and saves a lot of battery. - Set auto restart to once a week or twice a week to fix any possible bugs - Set the device care widget on your home screen or one of the other slides that allows you to clear RAM by pressing on the widget, as it will close out of any app still running that shouldn't be, as I do this once or twice a day. - Keep bluetooth and NFC turned off - Set device performance to Light Performance Mode. This wont effect daily usage, as I notice no difference at all in performance when switching between the 2, as it just prevents the phone from using a ton of resources when it isn't needed, but does not effect games so you get the full performance. Maybe if you do these things, you will find your phone lasting a lot longer. Try it for a few days, let the phone's battery adapt so it can accurately track the battery usage, and see how much longer the phone lasts.

Just turn on the sleep mode, and you can edit it to add the power saving mode, and in sleep mode default all apps are unusable, and you can only call, sms, or alarm. So, better power saving and unwanted background process is not an issue.
You don't need to set specific hours for your sleep. Just set "during sleep", it detects when you sleep automatically, roughly 30 minutes after you fall asleep, it knows you're sleeping.

You are literally shortening the lifespan of the battery. Lithium ion battery doesn't work that way.
@@nickwong2525 but my phone is using Li-Po battery. Can you explain further please?
if so then amend routine to go into airplane mode @@nickwong2525
😂
Thank you :)
Where did you get that wallpaper?
I have this setup. But instead of time, I set it to IF SLEEPING, so every time I sleep or have a nap, the phone is on Power Saving.
Damn nice wallpaper bro
I'm more strict, I put a whole alarm at 3 am if I forget
Thank you
I have a routine for class timings to keep phones silent
I cannot find the power saving options in mine
The only problem is that I don't have a specific time I sleep. 🤔
I have been using this mode for almost a year now. Mine goes further to give me a grayscale screen, and switches off data and WiFi too.
U can set these things in sleep routine ive been using it
Thanks great tip
This routine is redundant if you use the proper alarm in the Samsung clock. Good video though.
How do I have your wallpaper and keyboard animations. I loved
Thankyou❤
I dont think battery is an issue, cuz 6 months in and still how much ever im left with at night. It just takes up 1 or 2% which is insane. Last night i had 7% and 7 hours later im left with 5. i'm talking about without using battery saver mode.
Not necessary though. Samsung devices don't have much idle draining
I'm currently using an S10. Suprised it's still holding on well after 5 years. But I'm at the point where I've set my screen on 720p, power saving mode always on, and still only got 5 hours of screentime IDLE
I really like this idea but i dont think it would make too big of a difference since your phone already goes into a deep sleep state when its unsued for quite a while. So technically soeaking, the phone sleeps with you lol
Also another way for saving battery change data plan from 5g,4g to 2g :D and it will be more effect
I just always use power save I can't see any performance difference and my battery is just as good now as 3 years ago when I got the phone
Whats that wallpaper
i just charge it over night😊
That's actually great
Me when playing games and overslept
The phone: uuuh you still there bro ?
Getting 6 or 7 hours of sleep every night can literally take 10 years off your life. Well according to this sleep specialist that was on JRE a couple years ago.
Airplane mode is more battery saver than power saving mode
You can literally do anything using that routine option on Samsung
Xiaomi have this feature inbuilt and very useful
Does this work on Google pixel
