Lars only beat All in all the Devil Gene doesnt seem to be a very big power boost,the Mishima blood is more helpful and the devil gene only added to that Mishimas are also descendants of the Japanese Thunder God,thats why they have lightning,this is also heavily implied in the history montage in Tekken 8 where they show ancient Mishimas and a picture of Raiji the thunder god

Even during Tekken 6, Lars was protagonist and Jin was antagonist. Only to reveal later Jin was anti villain the entire time stopping a bigger threat, which Lars realize Jin was innocent the entire time. So far, aside from Xiaoyu, Lars at the time actually believed Jin was innocent after learning his true intentions. Which from there, informed Lee as well and they both assisted Jin. I really think the whole reason now everyone ends up siding with Jin was because of Lars. He was the MVP that saved Jin from making the whole world his enemy. The truth behind Jin’s actions must have lead alot of people to support him.
