I think a walker survival base would be really cool (it would also remove the problems that come with flying) I also think it would be cool to add small jets to a big flying base that other people you're playing with can get into and launch from the big ship (they would also need to be able to dock back at the ship)
You should have an option for the gun to be controlled by an independent gunner ai this ship has the ability to work with multiple players so in a fight situation or would let the pilot focus on not crashing and the Gunners can take care of the enemies
My opinion is that if you build somthing in vanilla it has a higher standing and is more universal than builds with mods. But your´r modbuilds a cool on there own.

You could do a big drop down arm that has that explosive launcher! Like have it on a hinge that drops down so you only have to shoot the explosive launcher straight! Not downward.
there will definitely be ammo in survival looking at the in game sounds list, it lists one of the sounds for the mounted spudgun as the reload sound, as for fuel I have yet to see anything hinting towards that in the game code.
If Mods could be enabled in survival, but they have recipes, then a AI gunner would be a viable option. Example recipe: The first AI block (whatever it is): 2 circuit board, 3 metal, 1 battery. You get what I'm saying? Edit: hey, I made a recipe that actually could exist! Also, the fact that we have players working away to develop new, improved methods of gyros is AWESOME. Think about it. Scrap mechanic has it's own player R&D department that works and building new, innovative tech.
My best guess as to why your ship is listing like that is that the sensor on the gyro isn't tripping. Because it's effectively a whole block that it senses above it you can have something come into the edge of it's sensing range and it will read it. With that thing being so heavy and large your thrusters aren't moving you very quickly so it would be very easy to get to that point and then just have the thrusters shut off because the gyro is "sensed".
I love your vanilla builds as I always play vanilla, please bring us moar. Perhaps you could dive deeper into potential survival-ready builds, such as a ground-based mobile base that can launch an escape/assault flyer? just an idea, I don't know if it'll work or not as block-on-block interactions are weird. Also, the suspension glitch is actually a bit if a problem in vehicle building. If you try to set up a compact realistic suspension, it turns into a suspension glitch, meaning you can't smoothly drive over terrain. I've been both using and fighting suspension glitches for ages now. Sometimes I just want it gone, other times I'm glad it's here. EDIT: maybe for the deployable flyer, it's a separate vehicle attached to the first by a cardboard block, and a button connected to a spud gun aimed at said cardboard is connected to the seat of the flyer. Seems like that would eliminate the risk of weird block-on-block interactions (and of course the lag)
I have a feeling that in survival your going to have to craft the weld tool and the paint tool, probably spudgun too. You will probably start with a hammer and a lift maybe a few blocks.

Anti-Air Farmbots or something, I can't imagine the Farmbots we've seen so far being able to do much against this. My only thought would be that a design like this, with so many thrusters and spudguns, will chew through resources at a rate you'll barely be able to support. You'll play the game for an hour, to attain the fuel and ammo needed to use this vehicle for a grand total of about 3 seconds.
I think the devs should introduce like a stabilizer thing, which if you place in your high tier ship, it kind of "weld" the deployable vehicle, and just calculating the weight, instead of calculating the contact with the mothership, the grip with the ship, etc. (kind of like a lift, just in a vehicle, and a bit more physics) pls answer or something

Its extremly laggy if u park a car or something else inside the back of the ship i have the solution I will change the graphic to low so its not laggy 😉 (simple)
Probalty your cargo ship is on a angle because the spud cannon is rotaiting & when you dont use the wepon the ship stay straight. You can broblty fix this by placing two mini cannons that are spinning in oposide directions. I think *_*
Idea for vanila creation(s) you could make Some 7x7 cube for fighting. Here are some rules:) Rules: 1:your cube cant pass the 7x7x7 blocks size limit. Though it can pass it from a little bit at a few places it can not be to optimize your armor. 2:only small explosives are allowed. 3:you are alowed to have a spud gun in your creation but it cant be used as a weapon (can be part of your weapon though) 4:seats are not allowed. 5:wheels are not alowed, your wheels must be cube(s) 6:if your cube gets flipped your out (if your cube has been fliped by a glitch or something like that you are alowed to put it back on the lift) 7:Mods are not alowed in these fights If you think I could have more rules you cam coment one & I might add it. :)
i think youre battling basic physics. the torgue applied to make spuds rotate also transfers to frame. take the spuds off. place a 3x3 or bigger plate of metal on a free bearing where you used to attach it. then place the rotating bearing on this metal ring and then the spuds. this way torgue transfers to the metal ring and not the plane itself. i used this back in the days in beseige to make planes. this type of engines would selfadjust nomatter how many you fitted and would make a straight pull. also spin freely after throttle is off. heavier ring = more torgue on the planes. same problem you have on your single rotor helicopter.

Maybe the reason it always tilts right and not left is because of the direction the gun spins?
I think the gun's spinning torque tilts the craft so slowly and slightly that the gryo doesn't register it.
and the spuds firing can increase the tilt if is below the centre of gravity
I do counter rotation on my mini guns. Just add a backplate with weights on it that spins in the opposite direction

They play on fixing the suspension glitch before survival, I don't know if you used that, but if you did, that is a problem that needs fixing.

I kinda thought the same things. Farmbots won't be able to shoot it easily but it probably will take so much fuel it won't be worth it.

The explosive launcher doesn’t fire the explosive horizontally, it shoots it so hard it doesn’t explode until it slows down, it still hits the ground
It looks kinda like the Razor Crest from The Mandalorian except for the nose and the fact
that the wings are on the bottom unlike the Crest.
I think it’s the spud mini gun in the front it’s spinning right ands it’s probably twitching it that way
