I did this in the morning and l can see why it should be done at bedtime. It really does relax your entire body. I seem to have very sore ribs especially on my left side. What poses would be beneficial for me. Difficult to lie flat with no pain. l do have terrible osteoporosis too. Thanks for any suggestions. Your videos are wonderful! Elda
My knee was feeling a bit sore after my long run today, and this yoga was perfect! I can feel that the inflammation has gone down and my knee is no longer throbbing. I will be doing this on every run day now
I did this one after the 10 minute bed time one and felt great. Will reverse the order tonight and try this one first while wearing my sheet mask (some of my relaxing even has to be multitasked!). Thank you.

This is exactly what I was looking for to stretch my inner thighs before your 30min Yin routine. My hamstrings / adductors get a bit jammed up when I get into half pigeon pose, so I'll be using this to help prepare!
Just what I need! But after I put my legs into a figure-four, and as soon as I bend my knee (on the "straight" leg), my hips just go flying up. Should I let my hips come up and go for the stretch in my legs? Or should I work on keeping my hips down, but just barely bend my knee? Are there advantages/disadvantages to those two variations? Thanks!!
I think you should keeps your hips down touching the floor, even if you cannot bend your knees. I feel it is important to ground your entire back all the way from head to the tail bone (tip of the spine)
If your hips lift up then prop a blanket underneath. Don't force. Take your leg a little higher up the wall and maintain your figure 4 as much as you can. This specific posture isn't about your extended leg but about the figure 4, use your blanket prop for those hips so you don't have to tense to stay in place :)
Good lord. Who has 10 minutes to fritter away like this? I know it feels good -- I've done it -- but not as a daily routine. Got a dog to walk, laundry to do, and a book to read!
Have you seen that SaraBeth has a legs up the wall routine specifically for sciatica? It is very similar to this one! I think they help a lot. My sciatica is in a flare-up now & this routine really helps ease the pain.

When I lay on the floor my back hurts, it’s a deep pain at mid back and doesn’t ease up at all. Hard to relax with that. Am I doing something wrong?
