Woah!! I just got to my 1st one & I didn't know they went that deep or that it was an underground trail. I thought it was gonna be just the initial structure along the overworld "trail" or ground. Diiiimnnnn, much cooler this way!
@@johndunn4060 it happens to me to i thought it first that it was a world issue be because my world is 1.19ish and update it to 1.20, i excavated around the ruins but couldnt find anything till i dug like 20 Blocks deep i found like a terracotta when i dug it deeper it looks like a building and a trail so it connected way deeper than you think.
@@AstroNovelist54 My world was migrated from editions and just to be sure I went into a creative copy and searched with spectator mode and no ruins to be found.
What I have learned from this is that I will be coming for glazed TeracOta and other building blocks since the closest badlands(they have lot of Teracota ) in my world to my base are few thousand blocks away and the closest trail ruin that I found is about 800 ish blocks away from base
I love and hate these with a passion. I’m currently doing them because one of the trims is needed for achievement. I have accidentally broken so much suspicious gravel on accident that it’s frustrating. I kinda enjoy excavating it but the loots kinda wack.
You have to dig a good bit deeper than that in my experience at least like 10 or 15 blocks deeper till you see bricks or terracotta, the setup of these things is confusing it’s like you were supposed to know the design of them before you ever even saw one
@@jeremyharrell2208 Thank you for this comment! I was so confused, thinking I was just unlucky. I found quite a few over a couple hours by using an elytra and thought that there was just a chance of them being the big ones lol
My first one ever a few hours ago I dug straight down and came across it a few blocks deep. Located another 2 but I'm having a hard time finding it. It feels like they haven't 'spawned'.
This was really helpful because I just found one and I had no idea how to loot it, but there is one thing. I got the music disc from suspicious gravel. Is this really rare or a glitch or what?
I checked that and if you play the same seed many times and you go in coordinates with suspicious gravel and you use brush on it the item you will get is not always the same ... Its random and sometimes maybe you will not even find suspicious gravel in these coordinates ... is that a glitch? Or its just the way of how the game is working?

I tried excavating one. I dug around it and it was not connected to a building.

In the trail ruin I excavated, brushing on blocks caused adjacent hanging suspicious blocks to break. This happened many times. :(

@RSRminecraft same i copied my world went to creative found 3 different ones dug put a 20 by 20 block and didn't find any of the buildings at all
I’m using /locate to find them, I go to the co ordinates, dig around and there’s not even one there?

I couldnt go to chunk base at my elemamtry school becuase It was blocked for the game site reason
