I am from Hong Kong. I am also keep open to any movie from different countries and languages as long as they are good.
People no matter what ages, certainly had experienced various thinigs in their lives. Can relate much in this movie. Michelle performed so well, of course, also other actors / actresses.

The strong performances from Wong and Hui anchor the story, their generational conflict serving as a microcosm of Hong Kong’s struggle between tradition and modernity.
This heartfelt exploration of death traditions manages to feel more alive than most films about the living.

The two male leads Dayo Wong and Michael Hui are known for their comedies so a strictly dramatic film was out of the ordinary for these two. Movie awards season isn't quite there yet so its still a little too early for this movie to win any awards.
Also, Michael Hui has a huge following in Japan where he was known as Mr. Boo for some odd reason.

@mlmaxcheung they have and they've even release some deleted scenes featuring Kaki Shum. Who knows if they'll reinsert any of this footage for the extended cut. (Oh yeah! That's coming too.) The theatrical cut you see in theatres is like the 49th edit or something. We're not gonna get all the cuts but at least 2 will go public

@@Jaxdaily1 Michael Hui (aka Hello Man) might also be a familiar face to you since he partnered up with Jackie Chan in the "Cannonball Run" movies. I believe he also starred in a movie starring Jeremy Irons and Gong Li in Wayne Wang's "Chinese Box" but I've never seen this one.
