Growing up, my grandpa always dropped golden nuggets of wisdom. One of his classics? "If it didn't hurt, you didn't put the work in." I shrugged it off back then, but it hit home on this trip!
I've learned that obstacles become mere stepping stones when you're genuinely passionate about something. So, with Grandpa's words echoing in my mind, I embarked on a mission: conquer a 5000 ft mountain hike in scorching heat!
Join me as I push my limits, embrace the pain, and soak in every breathtaking moment of this adventure. From the lush greenery to the jaw-dropping views, this journey is about more than just reaching the summit-it's about the incredible experience every step of the way.

Blue mountain noh nice again when we usually hike to the blue mountains there was no restaurant nor road to drive up there you ofto walk to the top I been there about twenty times in those days and you ofto carry your own food and cook it so everyone took grocery and we cook we ofto attimes use board from a old cabin to make fire to keep warm and on our ways we usually exercise because we were combat fighters it was super fun for the time we usually spend there sometimes a week or two ect yeah it was real good in those days

This lady trade in the All inclusive for the real Jamaica and loving it
Jamaica Tourism. Would putting Cable Cars along the route for those who would prefer this type of transport would be good. I am just throwing my thoughts out toJamaica Tourist Board. It would be nice if we could install that piece of kit as Jamaica's own enterprise. It should not be that expensive.

Is this the mountain where on a clear day you could see Havana Cuba?
Yes at the peak on a clear early morning just before dawn when the lights are on you can see Cuba. You cannot drive all the way to the peak but maybe within an hour and a half or 2 hours walk from the peak. I hiked to the peak but I did not get to see Cuba as it was so misty and cloudy the clouds were below us when you are there it was like walking among the clouds, that was heavenly.
Thanks for showing this side of the Blue Mountains. I recently saw a vlogger who went on the worst dirt, gravel paths up to the top of the mountains. It was very discouraging. They didn't show that buses take tours up thereand NOT even the paths you people are taking in this vlog.

Hi top ranking im coming for first time next may i am a fussy eater and dont like spicey foods will i be ok finding plenty of food like steaks and chicken as i dont like other foods and im a bit scared can you help
Hello Steve, I am confident that you will be absolutely fine when it comes to food.
I don't find Jamaican food spicy- but well seasoned and the spicy sauce is always an option. It also depends on where you are staying. In an all-inclusive, you'll have access to all types of food, (including lots of chicken dishes and steaks), whereas from Airbnb you’ll have access to many local options like jerk chicken or fried chicken etc. And if the local cuisine is not your thing, then places like KFC, and Pizza Hut are on a different level in Jamaica- so make sure to check those out. I hope this helps, and I hope you have an amazing time on the island 💚

Can you please tell me which tour company you booked through. My family and I went to the Blue Mountain a few years ago , but the driver who drove us there took us to a coffee factory. The views was not as breathtaking. I love to hike🇯🇲💕. Also, how miles did you hike.
Hi there ☺️ Thanks for the support and feedback. The name of the tour company is Coming2 (www.coming2.com). We hiked up to 5000ft via the Yacca Road Trail. We booked the tour at our resort, where the company had a desk, but I believe you can book them directly, as we picked up people along the way.

you want to know the they'? the all inclusive hotels dont like these kind of vlogs,they prefer the ones that scare people into staying on the resorts
The all-inclusives are offering tours so you may have that wrong.
