I love that she says she’s a divorced mom, it’s really annoying when women say they’re a single mom when their kids have a supportive, present, & active father.

@@TophBaeBecause she has said that many times. It’s also just a new way of wording that I haven’t heard. Personally, I think it communicates the presence of the father more. But that might not always be the case.
I correct people when they call me a single mom. My kid has a dad who gives a shit lol

Holly handles people so well. Howie is really coming off as a typical man mansplaining instead of listening and learning. And opening his mind.
It was a hard watch bc i love holly and am always excited to see her new interviews but yeah Howie was just like “hahaha look at this…” like… why are you interviewing if you just wanna show them memes that are imo outdated grandpa type online humor…..

He wasn't listening to her. He was talking at her a lot of the time. She would say something engaging and he would immediately either cut her off or ask a left field question.
Some of Howie's questions here are kinda cringey. Holly is being a class act.

I love Holly, but every single interview is the exact same story. It’s not her fault. But can these hosts do any research?
Holly speaking out about autism on her podcast finally made me go find a therapist for myself. I’m still waiting to be tested, but my therapist seems pretty convinced that I am. I cried for like a month straight when I realized, but it’s been such a growing experience for me. I’m really grateful to finally face what I’ve suspected about myself for so long. And the stigma and misinformation about autism is really bad. I really appreciate what Holly is doing by spreading awareness. ❤

Holly is always so articulate and handled this interview really well even when the questions were getting sleazy and cringe. Not great on the interviewer’s part but Holly is always a treat to listen to

He makes interviews so awkward. His humor is beyond dry, but he also doesn’t read people well. Holly looked super uncomfortable at times. Really want to love him, but he makes it SO hard.
Also, I don't know if he has struggles with his visibility but it's rude to wear sunglasses indoors and not give people eye contact.

Love her talking about her adult autism diagnosis. A lot of people that deny mental health say that it’s just an excuse and self diagnoses and blah blah blah. For background, I am a pretty conservative person and agree that some things are over diagnosed and self diagnosed far too often however this is not one of them. “Autism” looked a certain way in earlier generations and since we have realized it is a spectrum, it has been extremely helpful for a lot of us. I go back to my childhood and ask my dad questions of how I was etc and it all makes complete sense now. I’ve just masked and self medicated my entire life until recently. It is very freeing to have an answer and be able to work WITH your own brain instead of against it. Sure do what you can to just be “normal” but once you start masking it in unhealthy ways and it is detrimental to everyday life, it is crucial to understand it to be the best version of yourself. Certain jobs might not work out. Certain relationships might work out because of the way your brain functions. That’s okay as long as you understand the way it does work so you can be in situations that you are not only successful in but even better than neurotypical people. Hyperfocus and neurodivergence are very very real. But can also be very beneficial being involved in things that work with it. That is all. Wishing everyone the best 😊

It was really hard to watch this interview… I felt horrible for Holly … it felt like no research was done at all… asking her if she was still doing Peepshow when that show ended over a decade ago and talking to her like we are still in the early 2000s at the begging of the episode was honestly disgusting…. Do better Howie … Holly has done many interviews in the last few years, not hard to take a few hours of your time and do your research or have someone who works with you research for you.
Well, this was my favorite. Shout out to video/video edits being on point but not too on point (it’s a podcast vid) and Howie for being Howie. Rick Glassman-- they’re coming for ya, sir! In a good and different way…love this!
