I've been watching videos on TikTok shops to help answer some of the questions being asked: You need 5K followers, not 50K. If you are a seller account TT will not allow you to set up dropshipping from China only the US. However, you can find drop shippers to do this in the US. TT is competing with Amazon so the ship times must be 7 days or less for your shop, if the tracking number is more than then 7 days, they will cancel the order.

Ryan I have a quick question about drop shipping , there are agencies available who will buy your product in bulk and store it in china right? do they have long shipping times as well? if not are the prices for the shipping very high? what I'm trying to ask is , is it better to buy bulk and bring it to the us or use agencies in china?

Also, I have found that you don’t have to buy the product to be an affiliate for the product. If you see something you like, and they are offering commission for you to sell it, and it allows you to add it to your shop, then boom you are now affiliate. No product purchase is necessary for most products it seems, if not all products. Just my experience so far.

I was accepted to create a TikTok shop when I only had/have around 300 followers. A couple weeks after setting up my TikTok shop, I applied to be an affiliate seller, and I was accepted, and I had only gone up maybe a few followers by that time.

The only problem with this is that you need at least 50K followers. 50k followers isn't really that easy to achieve unless you go viral somehow or start booming your account with some method
Stop always doubting and believe you can do it, that one guy in the video have over 11,000 followers not 50,000..let that sinc in a little, but you can do it, just stop doubting and put the work in.

You have to have a TikTok shop first. Once you are accepted, and you set up your TikTok shop, even without products, added to your shop yet, then you can apply to be an affiliate. Because when you add products to sell, they go straight to your shop, so if it’s not set up yet, or if you don’t have one yet, then it’s not possible, hope this helps

In my country (Indonesia) it's gotten so bad that the products being sold in TikTok Shops are way cheaper than those of China's. They legit killed small businesses in e-commerce.

@@ryanmaya in that case I guess it hasn't there yet. The name of the project is TikTok S, you are free to look it up. Just as a heads up, in my country, the same thing goes with TikTok Shops, first thing they gather as much as sellers that want to join TikTok Shop, once they gather enough consumer data and behaviour for TikTok Shop, like what things people are fancying right now, the conversion rate and all that, Tiktok starting to sell their own products which directly imported from China by bulks and selling it in TikTok Shop. The consequences? The old sellers ain't selling any, rather, people will buy things directly from TikTok as they are cheaper, more reliable, and faster shipping cause they have the capital to accomodate that.
Much like what SHEIN did when you guys in the west barely knew it. SHEIN started as a marketplace for fast fashion and now when they have enough data of what products are selling fast, they sell their own products. Since people are already attached to the marketplace, they become a native to the place and become a go to when they look for fast fashion products.
