Sammy Lind (fiddler) taught a class at Mars Hill, NC, Roots of American Music Week. I've been working on bowing (finally after 5 years on fiddle) and Sammy convinced and demonstrated the value of, "down-bow" fiddling. It was a great, great class by a great guy!
I used to think the version by Haas, Walsh and Marshall was the best Grigsby ......having heard this I have to change my mind! Fabulous....oh my, how good are these guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How about doing a couple edits of this, with one of the versions staying on the fiddler the whole way. Lots of interesting stuff going on there. Great playing all around.
