However, that isn't to say that they were not damaged due to how that sort of stuff works. But significant damage? I honestly don't know. It could very well be weeks or months, depending on the levels of ozone. However, the damage to living creatures can be noticed much earlier than that--high levels of ozone can start hurting your eyes and making them sting after not too long. Books though? I don't know.
