The record label gives them an allowance to buy the jewelry which is also insured by the label so if it something happens to its not a loss and when it's time for the artist to get another peice of jewelry they'll trade that piece in and get something new. They said the same about Barney, Telletubbies and other eliminate cartoons and shows. We thought they were crazy. Turns out they were on to something. Look at our culture now.
