I really dig the vintage components. Plus the whole setup is neat, sharp and clean. A vinyl collector's dream setup. Thanks for sharing this room tour Mikko~ Rob/Boston
That's a fantastic room setup Mikko! I love the all-white look and those are some great stands you built for the speakers and hi-fi gear. From where you sit in the chair that has to be a great view - you see the equipment and just beyond, outside the window, is a great nature view. It's also cool seeing other analog gear - board games! - in the analog room. Cheers! Tom
Beautiful room, Mikko! Very neat, clean, and organized. I appreciate your sense of organization more than you may realize. Nice job on the custom work you did with the gear rack and speaker stands! I love how you've also incorporated the Moomin collection, comic books, and games. I'm not sure if we'll ever have a chance to meet in person, but I would love to listen to records with you in your 'vinyl corner.'
Hi Mikko What a great listening space to enjoy your music, and you still have some room to grow!! Loving the vintage Yamaha stuff, I love the old amplifiers with the level meters on, great sound that matches vinyl so well. My girlfriend liked all the Moomins stuff too, and that's only part of your collection!! Thanks for sharing. Cheers Dean
Nice system and tour. Thank you. Love that Yamaha series, it's truly some beautifully classic gear from an amazing time just before CD changed the scene.
Beautiful job on the the equipment stand... Just a clean, efficient music room, Mikko... Love the vintage equipment, and you certainly have it all set up right for the space... I wonder if that floor causes a bit more reverb than it should, though... it doesn't really matter, though... I wouldn't want to add a rug there since those floors are so pretty.
Hi Kris! There is thick green circle rug on the floor. I'm not sure if you can see it in the video. It improves the sound a lot. The glass doors of the room, glass doors of the book shelf and the window behind the gear causes some reverb, but not so bad. I don't think it's a huge problem, but of course there could be some improvement on the acoustics. Overall, I'm very happy with the sound. Thanks for watching!
Awesome! Good to see Yamaha speakers, I have NS 1000 home version, ebony/beryllium from 1976 in a good shape - they look almost the same as your speakers, I really love them! Nice video, thank you.
Thanks, Martin! I would like to get the Yamaha NS-1000(M)s some day. I have a new music room now and I'm planning to make a new music room tour video soon. So stay tuned!
What an amazing well thought out and executed music room! VERY NICE! Did you build all of the record and CD storage units yourself or did you "kit-bash" some of them from furniture from IKEA or another manufacturer? I see the holes in the sides of the unites so that you can adjust the shelf space. Once again, I really enjoyed your room and collections!
@@TheVinylCorner THANK YOU! I found the web site. Looks like they ship to the USA as well. I can see browsing their site will take some time. I see what you mean. Looks like very high quality.
hi mikko. lovely space. you have a nice area to enjoy your music. i have a new tour in the works. just finishing off the room and then i will shoot it.
Mikko, what's up man? I was looking back at some videos here on your channel and I don't think I caught this video before., Great room!! I love it! I really love that shelf that goes over the doorway. That is too cool. The white units on the dark wood floors is an awesome contrast too. Great stuff my friend.
Hi Brandon! It's nice to hear from you. I haven't made so much videos lately. Our daughter is now three months and she's growing super fast. I wonder when she starts to pick records from my shelves! Have a nice weekend!
Nice music room tour. Your music room looks awesome !! Plus your stereo equipment looks in great shape and sounds amazing. I wish I could hire you to build some record shelves. Cool video Mikko !
I love your music room. It's very clean and stylish. And you know I love your vintage system too. I think the music sounds better when the room is in god order. But maybe that's just me :)
I love your room, Mikko! It looks so cool and has this "special" touch. I am moving into another flat next months and I have problems placing all the records in one big shelf. Maybe I need to check out the Lundia one you have. Thanks for sharing :) Armien
Classy listening room Mikko. Your channel intro can't be improved upon...perfect, love it! I like the white Danish Modern décor. I believe we have the same Yamaha amps. Your living proof that people still play board games, and they're a great form of family interaction. Great Eddy under glass. Cheers. ~ Jeff
Amazing setup! I was going to go all Yamaha originally but after listening to my friend marantz I decided to buy a vintage marantz receiver. I had the same speakers at you except mine where the first model with the air vent in the woofer cone, they where in perfect condition. I decided to sell them a couple weeks ago and I sort of regret selling them now. I sold them mainly because they where not the best sound when it came to listening to rock, hip hop, pop, r n b.... But for jazz, classical, and light rock, they sounded amazing. But They just didn’t have enough low end bass for me, but man I still wish I would have kept them lol. I ended up going with near perfect condition JBL L36 speakers and so far I’m very happy with them, I find vintage JBL speakers go really well with vintage marantz receivers, have you ever noticed that? Anyway just wanted to tell you my story about the Yamaha speakers and tell you how amazing you setup looks. Have you made any chances since posting this video? Do you plan on buying the Yamaha ns1000 speakers eventually?
Thanks, Jason! Marantz receivers are really beautiful and I bet they sound great too! So far I'm really happy with my all Yamaha setup. I hope to get the NS-1000M speakers some day!
I have the Yamaha YP D6 as well.. Does your turntable have the auto return feature? I found that the auto return on my turntable is a real pain in the ass. It does not lift before it returns :(
Hi Mikko. lovely Room wish Mine was as Tidy. I am trying though. Just one Grip. The Equipment rack, It Is right In front of the Window. The Sun can do a Lot of Damage to the Casing as It being Wood. It will fade It where It Hits. Specially through Double Glazing In will Magnify the Heat. The Records will suffer to. Might want to Replace along a Inner Wall. Just a Thought.
Don Keevney Good eye! I have a CD player in our living room, which is next to this music room. But this one is dedicated to all analog music! Thanks for watching!
Holy shit yamaha NS-1000s!!! i never seen anyone else have some!!! i was lucky enough to find some at a thrift store for $50 found out they are selling on ebay as much as $1000!!!, one of the best pairs of speakers i ever had!
Forgive me my friend but I thought I heard a little hum in the beginning of the demo before the music starts playing. Otherwise everything is exceptional, great set but you may check the connections. Enjoy ! ! !
Hi Mikko, that's a hell of a nice music room you've got there. Was the The Spell of Iron by Tarot? Such a great album, I listened to it on UA-cam. Very nice stands you built, would you like to come over to my place and design my music room? (lol) :) Just kidding, I'm looking forward to designing my music room. You have a very nice, cozy set up Mikko, enjoy! Take Care! Maria:)
that is a nice set up man Yamaha made nice stereo equipment built to last i have a m.c.s stereo system it's all matching but the CD player it's by a Sony i have a UA-cam video on it actually I have three on it it under jason brown ...and the videos are JCPenney's MCS stereo system
At Last some one playing music to show off their system, so often you get a really nice set up and then they play JAZZ to demo its sound, may as well go visit the local department store and go up and down in the lift. Nice set up with some classic pieces of kit, should give you years of listening pleasure. Enjoy.
the amazing thing is, you could add uk.yamaha.com/en/products/audio-visual/hifi-components/cd-players/cd-nt670d/?mode=model and your system would have access to internet radio stations, airplay(lossess) steaming from macbook/ipad, cd and HD flac files. Hey not saying it would match vinyl, but HD vinyl flac rips from vinyldoneright.nl/ do come close.
Awesome room and setup! :D
I really dig the vintage components. Plus the whole setup is neat, sharp and clean. A vinyl collector's dream setup.
Thanks for sharing this room tour Mikko~

Immaculate listening room, my friend, just superb...

Love your room, congratulations!
Nice system and tour. Thank you. Love that Yamaha series, it's truly some beautifully classic gear from an amazing time just before CD changed the scene.
Much respect for all of the personal touches! Your craftsmanship and commitment to following your own tastes is commendable!

Sentenced Coffin: ua-cam.com/video/cdlvBIVF2kQ/v-deo.html

You should try to find a nice pair of NS-1000 to match that vintage Yamaha setup.
I think the Yamaha NS-690IIIs look more cool and they match perfectly with the rest of my gear. But I will get the NS-1000Ms some day.

Hey, just wondering, what's your first language? English doesn't sound like it's your first.
Really? :D
My first language is Finnish. Thanks for watching!
The speaker stands need to be spiked so you can isolate the bass, you're losing too much bass as it is.
Good channel!! I subscribed!
Nice!
