Gosh, I love listening to Stella talk! Fantastic interview. He was the first artist my father introduced me to almost 40 years ago. I feel like a grew up with him.

ראיתי את התערוכה בוויטני ויצאתי משם נרעש ביכולת לנבא את העתיד לבוא באמנות, מדהים ביופי ובמעוף

Well, I could probably write a book on Stella by now, but I would not want to use my time that way. For a whole slew of proximital reasons, I have a very long background with unsolicited associations with this artist. So I have carefully observed his works for half a century. At the end of it all, I can offer my view: I do not actually consider Stella to be a talented or very capable artist. He made acceptable commercial products for corporations. That is pretty much it. He made a lot of money at it. But I would not ever want to change places with him, mostly because I value actual artistic talent more than that. This applies to all things that are important in painting: ideas, execution, color sense, composition, paint handling, and a whole host of other important considerations. In my estimation, he fails at all of these.
