As a teen I loved NJ honeysuckle and was surprised it was something unwelcome by property owners. Only came across it once thus yr . Missing that scent on the evening breeze.
We bought a severely neglected property in Independence Twp riddled with all kinds of invasive species. It was interesting that our surveyor mentioned over his 50 years in the trade the changes he's seen. His theory was the severe weather patterns in recent years (hurricane & tornados) that brought these species in.
Interesting...in Sussex county I'm not seeing the mile a minute vine but I'll look. We had tons of Purple Losestrife a few years ago, but I don't see much now. Not sure if nature took it's course there.

I actually saw a bunch along 206 and 94 on my way to Skylands Stadium last night.
Are there any medicinal uses for them? Kudzu is good for women's issues, supposedly.
