Your video is a lifesaver. I hate reading instructions!
We personally found that the cord in the back was a bit short and didn't stretch to the plug...
Thank you for this video. I had the machine installed yesterday. I read through the instructions scratching my head, they’re not easy to understand. I’ve managed to put it on the initial first wash ‘auto-clean. No doubt I’ll be back here when I do my first wash.
My washing machine was delivered today and I couldn’t make sense of how the eco function works. This really helped, Thank you. 🙂
Glad it helped, thanks for the feedback
The best video I’ve watched on UA-cam learning.
Thank you
Great to hear!
Thank you so much. I have read the instructions but nice to watch. M,ine is the NSWN742.
This was very useful to know now machine is looking and working nicely. Thanks
Fab video really helpful straightforward advice much appreciated
I've just had this model delivered to me this afternoon.
I didn't find the instructions of much use to me.
But after watching your video I now know how to use my brand new washing machine. Thankyou😉
Just bought it after this video. Thank you so much. 😉
Can you please tell me if you are happy with the machine?
Anything I need to know?
Which wash setting do you use most?
I just ordered mine today.
@@ItsTheLondonFella yeah I’m very happy. Im using almost every day, and the most common program I use is mixed. Good choice mate ☺️
@@rafalwasilewski2235
Thanks for getting back to me, Rafa.
Much appreciated.
So do you use the Mixed setting all of the time?
Has it shrunk anything?
I’m assuming you wash mostly cottons, and a bit of other stuff (synthetics) in the Mixed wash? 1 1/2 hours is an acceptable time for a cycle. Those 3 hour cycles I’d never use! That’s why I’m drawn to the Mixed cycle.
Have you used the 45 min cycle? If so, is it any good?
Also, do you know how long the spin & empty cycle takes to do?
Thanks again for replying and for answering my questions, it’s much appreciated bruv.
I’ve just got this washing machine and had no clue in how to use it..so thanks a lot for this in-depth video. Now I can wash my clothes
Thanks for the feedback, glad it was of use to you
This video was great. Thank you. Just got the machine so found it very informative. Very nervous but I suppose I will get used to it.
Really useful, thanks!
Had the washing machine for 3 months. Decided to watch the video. Really useful. However, didn't show how to clarify putting in soap powder or liquid. I think I understand the written instructions but would have been good to see on the video. All in all excellent.
Exactly what Lin Brant said. At last I know how to use it. Thank you!
Thanks, great video, better than any instruction manual.
Only fault with machine is the power cable could be longer.
Hi do I have to set the spin speed, as mine doesn't drain & spin my old machine just did everything, I,m at a loss with this one, I've just had it replaced as I thought the 1st one was faulty but this one is doing the same.....help me, I m going mad ...lol
Love my new washing machine. Can you buy a tumble dryer to match. Black condenser
Hi I have just purchased this model , I have noticed that on some of the programs that the water level inside the drum is nearly half way up the door and same with a rinse . My old washing machine was a Hotpoint and didn't use this much water I just wondered if this was normal?
So helpful thank you very much
We just bought it last week
I really like the mix 40 as it is reasonably timed. 1:30 is far better than 2:27 from my bosch
Is the Mixed setting (the first one) the one that you use most?
Has it shrunk any of your clothes at all?
Do you use it for cottons?
Thanks.
thanks for the easy to understand instructions u gave ibetter than the instructions manual but can u tell me about the powder conpartment which powder goes in were there are three compartments .
Normally the larger compartment on the right is for the main wash, the blue compartment is for the conditioner / softener and the one near the back is for the pre wash.
Thanks for the informative video.
I ordered mine today.
Can you please advise:
For general washing, a mixture of fabrics, would you use the Mixed setting or Full Load 45 Minutes?
I usually set my machine to zero degrees, to prevent any shrinking.
My main worry is shrinking my clothes. Given this, which of the two settings would you use?
I can’t be using the settings that wash for hours, so it’ll be a choice between these two settings.
Thanks.
Bedding can be washed at 60° and towels cleaning cloths at 70°
Thanks man
Brought the 9kg 1600spin of this with inverter motor I must say it’s brilliant
hotpoint king has the 8kg version of this one
I’ve got the same one, didn’t know what the inverter motor was though. Only problem I have with it is, the fabric softener doesn’t seem to penetrate the clothes so the clothes don’t smell nice when they come out, any ideas?
@@garycampbell2230 have you tried cleaning the draw out getting a toothbrush for the small parts
@@Boschwhirlpoollad1996 it’s a brand new machine 3 days old
@@garycampbell2230 bit of a strange one maybe if you take the draw out and take the softer thing out there is a little tub maybe just something stuck there
Really good vid. Only thing I would have an issue with: how to clean the filter. easy it aint!
Does it have a 60 degree wash?
Got this on Saturday did a couple of washes .Yesterday I hand washed a top and it wouldn't rinse and spin .Came out still soaked .Any idea what has happened.
Normally it is the situation where the load is too small. You need several items in a modern washing machine before it can balance the load out and spin properly.
Where's the auto clean on this model...in instructions it says to push that button..couldn't find ...
I use liquid detergent that you put in a small plastic ball straight into the washing machine drum. Is it OK to still do this with this washing machine
Yes you should be ok to still use the ball in the washer. It can be a good way of dosing in the machine as the liquid is straight there ready to go in the wash.
Doesn’t this version have a auto clean 😢 as I can’t see it on the machine
just want to add to this informations
you get a small plastic part to measure the soap in the soap compartment and can store it on the left side of the compartment
handy little gadget
Where is this little plastic part please
@@Sam-lz4ce it will be in the plastic bag with the manual
Just bought this machine...keeps saying h2o in the display when the cycle finishes...and door is locked..Had
to put it on spin and drain cycle to open and empty machine..Any advice would be most appreciated.
Not too sure, but check to make sure the waste outlet is not blocked at all, sometimes if it is blocked then any machine can struggle to empty properly
It's rocket science for any Oaps ..... Bonkers. Yes it's moving with times , but his help anyone elderly, they are in trouble if on their own
NSWF74ZUW 11 months old, not draining correctly the filter turns part way and wont come off? Any advice please?
If you can't get the filter off, then it may be jammed somehow. It may have something stuck behind it, which is worth persisting with it to try and remove it as it can affect the pumping out if something is stuck. Good luck!!
How is it timed
Hello
I just had my machine installed and the booklet says for first time use run and “ auto-clean”
Please can anyone tell me Where is that button
I can’t find it ?
I can’t find it either I had it installed last week
Just got mine. I find it very difficult to see the programme indicator. It is tiny white marker against white background. Can only detect by touch.
Very poor design unusual for Hotpot. You can see this clearly on this video.
Can you get a double duvet in that size machine it seems a small drum for a 7kg
I tried and it doesn’t fit as the drum is just to small
@@bonesawarm6987 I got the 8kg so it fits fine thanks for replying 👍
thank you for the video how do i add the soap
You would normally add the detergent in the drawer although some people will add it in the machine drum direct
Which programme do I use if I want to give my clothes an extra spin
There should be an extra spin program on this machine which you can select to spin up to a maximum of 1400 rpm
Can you tell me are long is the programme mixed wash is .
It is 90 minutes long.
Why its not spinning if add small load...is there any fault or just the sensor
There is no fault with the machine. All washers have sensors that will detect an unbalanced load and if you put a small load in then the machine cannot balance the load correctly. My advice is to put more clothes in and you will be fine.
@@lords-electrical thanks for the quick reply...I tried with more load after watching your video and run on 30mins cycle. It was fine until 13mins but machine went back on 15mins automatically but finished fine after that !!! Not sure is it a fault or machine is fine because its a two months old machine. Please give your opinion...thanks in advance
It would benefit from a ‘Bloke’ programme.
Ha Ha that would be great. Even better if the clothes were ironed and folded when the machine had finished
were is the filter that needs removing to clean.
at the very bottom behind the panel at the base. It pulls off
I recieved mine a few days ago and love it only problem is I've used different programs on different load I've done smaller loads larger loads and I don't know if it's just me but feeling clothes are still quite wet so been putting in the spin and drain and then they perfect anyone else had same problem or? X
The only advice is to check the maximum capacity of each load. I only say that as not many programmes offer the full 7kg load and if you put too much in, it wont spin properly and the clothes will still be damp
@@lords-electrical thank you I've got the 8kg version, but I will try make loads smaller and see how it goes thank you xx
@@kristihaines9181 have a look in the manual.
It says how much per program.
The quick program only tales 3,5kg in a 9kg machine and only spins at 800 rounds. Saw that earlier in a video.
I intend to buy a used 8kg machine but can't find the model name of it. I was given pictures and it has A+++ , 8kg, super silent ,digital motion technology.
Doesn't say how many tours it spins.
I guess l will ask and ask if she still has the manual and the bolts for transport! I guess that broke my last machine because they didn't put them in!
Does this have any kind of overload protection, or indication ?
it won't tell you if there are too many clothes in there, but you will find that the performance of the wash won't be as good if there is too much in there
Thank you for your vedio by the way 9kg machine is same working
yes basically the programmes will be similar to the 7kg but some of the wash times may vary a little
WHERE IS THE FILTER PLEASE
IS IT STILL UNDER THE PANEL AT THE BOTTOM OF THE MACHINE
yes there is normally a filter behind the front panel
Is it possible to get the clothes hot and dry??
This is a washing machine so it will clean the clothes but not get them dry as well. To get them dry you would need a washer dryer or a separate tumble dryer.
Does this machine have time remaining display
Yes it does on this model
The 45 minute wash won't take the detergent due to software problem you have to get someone from hotpoint to come and update it
I use a little ball shaped detergent dispenser which I put in with clothes. Got it free with Persil but probably easy to get elsewhere. It means I don’t have to clean dispenser drawer and supposed to more evenly cover wash.
@@jeansmyth7474 I tried the 45min was again the water will go in but it takes a couple of minutes I think it weighs what's in the drum first I no the ball you are talking about iv used them in the past they are great too 👍
@@jeansmyth7474 I take a plastic bottle with lid on which l put water and the powder detergent which often doesn't dissolve when put in directly to dissolve it beforehand. Just put into drawer while it takes water and rinse the bottle with tap water and rinse drawer. No slime that way!
@@shantinaturechild6385 very good. Thank you.
This machine dry or just Wash?
This machine washes only, it doesn't have a dryer as part of it
Who actually washes that on the baby cycle geez
Apparently it uses more water and gets extra clean. I might use this actually for my dirty clothes. I have an allergy cycle too that uses more water and rinses well.
I mean, the used machine l intend to get. Searching for model name but haven't found it yet.
Please can this machine wash and dry clothes
No this machine can only wash clothes
Can i able to dry my clothes through this machine?
This is just a washing machine, it doesn't tumble dry clothes. If you have space i would recommend a separate tumble dryer, but if you need both and don't have enough space then it would be a case of going for a washer dryer.
With the on/off button issue is because how cheaply these things are made, when the programs were just numbered instead of laid out in text, it wasn’t as in the way. Money saving and the motor housing is now made out of plastic on the inverter models for cutting costs... very poorly designed machine...
♥️♥️♥️ 🤗🤗🤗 so adorable..
What the washing machine? 😉
