22:25 the Clothier IS the cursed man. It's the same guy that was guarding the dungeon and summoned Skeletron. And after you defeated Skeletron, you lifted the curse, and Clothier joined your town.
Yoooooo!!! You're in hardmode now!!! Lets goooo!!!! Hardmode is a pretty steep difficulty curve, its basically like you're back in the beginning of the game again where everything can kill you in one or two hits and you need to gather materials to be able to survive. Please try not to get discouraged because this is the stage of the game where many people stop playing. The first few steps in hardmode should be going to break those demon altars, (spoilers) sadly you wont be able to take them with you but instead, breaking them will cause a new type of ore to spawn in your world. Each subsequent one will spawn the next tier up from that, up to 3. After the third one, breaking more demon altars just causes more of those ores to show up, they are crucial in progressing in hardmode because your prehardmode gear aint really gonna cut it for very long. The three tiers are Cobalt or Palladium Mythril or orichalcum Adamantite or titanium You'll need a cobalt pickaxe to mine mythril, you'll need a mythril/orichalcum anvil to make new gear and a mythril pickaxe to mine titanium, and you'll need a titanium/adamantite forge to make bars out of titanium (its a straight upgrade from the hellforge/furnace) most people skip the first two tiers of ore when it comes to armor or weapons and just get titanium/adamantite armor and gear. I'm sorry i know this is a lot and im gonna post more steps in the replies to this comment.

The next thing you're gonna wanna do after you get geared up is to collect souls of light and souls of night. They can be found in the 2 new biomes you have, the underground corruption and underground hallow. These are used for many hardmode crafting recipes including your first 3 bosses. You should also really make an actual boss arena now as well. You'll want a large flat area with platforms for moving up and down. You cannot build an arena that is too big so the bigger the better for this. One of your other first steps should be to go up to the space layer of the sky and farm for an enemy called wyverns. These have a ton of health and hit like a truck but they drop an item called souls of flight which are used to craft wings. Wings are CRUCIAL from this point on as they give you a ton more flight time as well as prevent fall damage. The easiest wings to make at this stage of the game are pixie wings, harpy wings, and frost wings.
I should also add that this is the stage of the game where the class you decide to go really starts to matter a lot more. So don't be afraid to experiment with all the different classes to see what works best for you. Just note, if you choose summoner class, sadly, you'll have to go revisit the spider cave as the only summoner armor available for a while will be... spider armor 😥

I should have lots of platforms left over now haha so I'll make a nice boss arena next time and take a look up in the sky. Deerclops is the boss from the game Don't Starve. Kind of an easter egg/reference boss. That's why it feels out-of-place in Terraria.
