Hi Dan, you mentioned setting up for multiple wheel options. Perhaps a video walking us dummies through how to be able to swap wheels without having to recal and remap all the buttons, is that possible??
The reason you cap the FPS to 4fps lower than your screen refresh is due to gysnc/free sync. A monitors with gsync/freesync will have a range being the lowest fps it will work at and the highest. If its too range is 160fps anything over that will cause gysnc/freesync to keep going off and back on so you can at 4fps lower than the refresh so your screen neve goes above the range.
i started using your true drive profile and i took 3 seconds off my lap time at Sebring and now have pole position pace for an A class driver and i am C class also the part explaining the force feedback sliders was very helpful
Surprised you are running with the dynamic obj on.. I have 13900 and 4090 as well and turned the dynamic objects off. find I don't notice the small difference in appearance but gain a tonne of fps. pretty much every other setting I have the same except I run sharpening and no heat haze(because I don't like the look haha)
Very small detail but I'd try testing something different with your tree graphics detail settings. The 2 pass trees setting applies to most tracks and does IMO make a noticeable difference in how the trees look, but doesn't have a huge performance impact. The high detail trees, and speedtree self shadowing setting only apply to the tracks using speedtree (Hungaroring, Virginia International and the only ones I think) and does have a very large effect on performance. Some people, including myself had awful FPS at those two tracks without turning off high detail trees and self shadowing

@@Hani_Santa I have the old Rift CV1 but I got tired of the low resolution. Since I have a better PC now I may step up to one of the newer headsets, but which one I have no idea.
@@DSaw78 if you want alot of fov the Pimax headsets are the best, but these are not the easiest of headsets to setup ....Pretty soon there newest headset will come out that is the Pimax Crystal with less fov but amazing clarity, the best clairty there is, but it's expensive....Some prefer more fov because you get a lot of sense of speed but the trade off is that the edges are less sharp....but if you like fov over clarity the Pimax 8KX is a good headset, but pretty expensive. For the best allrounder for simracing the HP Reverb g2 is probably the best headset, sharper then the Pimax 8KX, but less fov, not to expensive and solid. It's my headset for years and far superior to the CV1. But basically the most sharp headsets are the Varjo Aero and the upcoming Pimax Crystel, but yeah those are as expensive as a triple almost.
Hey, could you please show the important things (e.g. the settings window) in fullscreen or just big enough, so we can read something…it is to small to see, escpecially when watched with an tablet. Thank you

Hi Dan Thanks for this video. I just got my Simucube Pro yesterday and have been trying out your settings. With the single cockpit cars, they work great. However, with the Ferrari 488 Evo, I found the force feedback to be very strong. Maybe I’m a weakling, or perhaps it’s my driving. You mentioned that I should keep the output at 100% in the Simucube software and adjust FFB level in game. I wasn’t sure if this meant that I should adjust the max output in iRacing from 25 down to a lower figure OR if I should adjust the 45NM number up to a higher number to scale down the strength. Can you say what you’d recommend? Thanks again.
Hey grabbed the Simucube active pedal. Partly from your review, and its amazing I just stsrting using it today to actually lost time in game as im gen slowing down to much lol. Do you happen to have any brakes setting loaded up as we speak? Deff amazing and cant wait to get the feel for it only used it for like 45 mins so far.

No FSR for me but the rest i'm very interested in knowing As I only run VR it is very tricky to test as I very rarely want to go below 90 so settings are slightly conservative but if I can squise out more it would be nice to know.

Just upgraded my t300 to a Simucube over the holidays, I'll have to try your profile -- been using Moradness at 70%. Learned a few things from the settings overview, so thank you for that! I wanted to ask about when you said reducing the overall strength percentage in the simucube software would lead to more clipping. My understanding was that if you also reduced the wheel force in iRacing, there should be no additional clipping. That is to say that anything that causes clipping with 60% overall strength and 15Nm wheel force would also cause clipping at 100% and 25Nm if the max force setting was the same. Am I missing something? Like you said, it does reduce the range.
Hi Dan, love your vids. Thanks for the update video. I know your old True Drive profiles had a higher friction and damping, and I have been doing the same myself, because it makes the car feel actually weighty and friction-y like a real steering rack. Was there a change in the FFB engine that you're no longer going that route? Thanks!

@Dan Suzuki I've been having an issue with true drive where when I go to online profiles and pick one to try and click activate then try backing out back to my profiles if won't let me go back and I have to close true drive and restart it any ideas.

I have the same F64 V3 SC & I cannot adjust the bite point or see what it is set at. It might be a very niche video of not great interest to everybody but there is so little information available. Personally, I don't like FXAA in any game. It blurs lines too much & takes away the sharpness. SMAA is usually extremely taxing on the GPU & I don't use it because I prefer everything else on high with a ton of FPS vs loosing a lot of FPS because of SMAA.

Couple questions on your going back from 55" OLEDs to 32" IPS triples: How close are your monitors from you now (thinking back to your 2021 Triple Screen video)? Have you ever run 4K triples? I was thinking about getting the 4K 138Hz LG48" OLEDs for triples with my new 4090 but notice you went with 2K monitors - have you determined that iracing and acc can't do sufficient 4K frame rates? @@DanSuzuki curious as to why 42” OLED’s didn’t appeal to you Dan? We’re they even a consideration? I’m either going 32” or triple 42”, and a little turned off the OLED’s given you’re given them the flick. Should I be? 😊
@@Rhythmic_Hammer Because 32" is the perfect size for me. At the distance I like to have my screens even 32" are limited in FOV by the seat and not by the screen ending :D
@@DanSuzuki Thanks Dan. I’m confident enough in your experience and technical prowess to take that as gospel. Don’t worry about telling me it’s all subjective, I’ve made my mind up. 😉 Plus half the price and don’t have to worry about hdmi 2.1 to display port adapters and some of the issues I’ve read about when using them. Bigger isn’t always better but I can see why people got carried away by the OLED’s picture quality. 32” OLED’s will hopefully be reasonably priced in a few years for an upgrade down the track. 🤙
@@Rhythmic_Hammer Oh OLED absolutely look incredible ... but it also has its downsides ... if you drive at night for example, everything is, well, very dark :D
Dan thanks for the update. Question on the Iracing setup for curved triples I'm running 34's and iracing's calculator really doesn't work well calculating distance from screen with FOV. It gives me a low field of view compared to flat screen. So I have lowered the radius of the screen and it looks closer to what it should with a higher FOV Does irSidekick calculate curved screens correctly.
I can confirm, the side monitors looked huge with curved screen setting, changed to flat screen settings and it worked load better, I read the curved screen calculator is broken. I tweaked the settings slightly from the calculator to get it exactly where car placement felt instinctive.

Dan, I have a 48" Curve monitor. Any thoughts on adding a standard monitor on each side to make triples? In my head, it seems like it would be ideal, but I haven't seen a setup like that.
I think that doesn’t make a lot of sense - you want the side monitors to be close to your head for best immersion. A ultrawide in the middle just pushes them out unnecessarily

Hi Dan, are you using any other software with the Butt Kicker other than Iracing like Sim Hub or HaptiConnect? Always great info and guaranteed to want to make me spend more money.
Yeah also wondering that. If your pc stuggles hitting it dead on at 165fps I understand but if the system can run 165fps I would even set it to 166fps max personally. And honestly, if the game doesn't tear up on me I would even leave it uncapped most of the time. Depends really on the game I'm running.
That is important for overlays, it will get information of all the cars. The draw number just determined how many cars are actually shown at the same time
Any thoughts on doing an updated rig tour? I dont get how some are you have a view distance of 620mm with 32" screens and still seem to keep the monitors behind the base even with a shaft extension. At my seating position, 620mm puts my center monitor directly behind my wheel. I must be doing something wrong and iv been doing it wrong for 5 years lol.
Guessing your arms are maybe too stretched out when in the rig? You want your elbow to be close to 90 degree when holding the wheel. Or are you maybe a 2.20m NBA player? 😅
Same here I'm 5'10" elbows at 90° my screen distance is 610mm and my monitor is between my DD base and my wheel. I've always wondered how people are getting so close when it looks way further away than my setup.
@@grantbreshears7533 Not jus that, but with the monitors that close and the angles tucked in too at whats recommended with all the different calculators, its stupid hard to get in and out sometimes. Or since i do rally, sometimes my hand hits the monitor when pulling the handbrake because its right over it.
Dan could you help me with my settings debug x,y,z raw is never 0 and 100% .When i press the pedals y raw max 25% z raw max 59% can you tell me how it should be ok?
@@dunnyzed6953 I'm new to Iracing, started when I got my Moza R9 DD wheel. I heard a lot about irFFB but I chose to run it without. Iracing has some of the best FFB feeling out of all the games I tested so personally I really don't see the point in trying to enhance it when it's perfect. I think those tools are more in place for older belt or gear driven wheels.
@@Horneycorn Exactly that, I began using it when I started out on a G29. For some reason I carried on using it when I switched to a SC2. Time to try it without.
@@dunnyzed6953 If it is like most ffb enhancers in games (I did use one for Assetto Corsa) it could increase the details coming through. Boosting and adding stuff on top of the games ffb and your wheels own ffb will most of the time ruin the level of detail. I started AC again when recieving my DD wheel and I was quite dissapointed. Found out that although I removed the app that enhanced FFB it still left a small .ini file in the root folder that messed up the settings. Removed it and WOW now I understand why people with DD wheels love AC.

@@alexlib3357 running in Windowed modes (borderless) is often best and it should kill most tearing issues as it makes use of Windows default triple buffering for desktop apps. What refresh rate is your monitor?
Hello Dan, one suggestion from me.. if you drive only iRacing, please, go in BIOS and turn off cpu hyperthreading.. you will gain 10% fps... thank me later ❤
The biggest FPS killer in iRacing is "Dynamic Objs" right in the middle. You should gain about 20fps extra easily.

Dan add gear change to the buttkicker settings it's easier to know when you miss a down shift. You have gear set to zero

You can zoom in on the video using the usual pinch to zoom on tablets 😊

If you have triple screens just use the flat settings within iRacing. The curved function only really works with one big curved screen.
I wanted IPS panels and there are no curved ones I think. But it also doesn’t really matter if they are curved or not in a simrig in my opinion!

no, it doesnt make any difference in windowed mode :) will always run at the monitors refresh rate

I was thinking about getting the 4K 138Hz LG48" OLEDs for triples with my new 4090 but notice you went with 2K monitors - have you determined that iracing and acc can't do sufficient 4K frame rates? Thanks again!
I ran the Oleds at 1440p as well, I tried 4K but especially at Staats the performance was just not great. I’m about 62-65cm away from the screens.

@@Rhythmic_Hammer Because 32" is the perfect size for me. At the distance I like to have my screens even 32" are limited in FOV by the seat and not by the screen ending :D

Don’t worry about telling me it’s all subjective, I’ve made my mind up. 😉 Plus half the price and don’t have to worry about hdmi 2.1 to display port adapters and some of the issues I’ve read about when using them.
Bigger isn’t always better but I can see why people got carried away by the OLED’s picture quality.
32” OLED’s will hopefully be reasonably priced in a few years for an upgrade down the track. 🤙
@@Rhythmic_Hammer Oh OLED absolutely look incredible ... but it also has its downsides ... if you drive at night for example, everything is, well, very dark :D
Dan thanks for the update. Question on the Iracing setup for curved triples I'm running 34's and iracing's calculator really doesn't work well calculating distance from screen with FOV. It gives me a low field of view compared to flat screen. So I have lowered the radius of the screen and it looks closer to what it should with a higher FOV Does irSidekick calculate curved screens correctly.
Just don´t use the curved function within iRacing and stick with flat.The curved screen function only really works with one big curved screen.
I can confirm, the side monitors looked huge with curved screen setting, changed to flat screen settings and it worked load better, I read the curved screen calculator is broken. I tweaked the settings slightly from the calculator to get it exactly where car placement felt instinctive.

I don’t really have a preference, 1000R was too extreme, the rest is fine. I did want to get IPS panels though and I think there are no curved ones

Have you undervolted your 4090 card? Otherwise i recommend it for better temps and more stable performance.
Dan, I have a 48" Curve monitor. Any thoughts on adding a standard monitor on each side to make triples?
In my head, it seems like it would be ideal, but I haven't seen a setup like that.
I think that doesn’t make a lot of sense - you want the side monitors to be close to your head for best immersion. A ultrawide in the middle just pushes them out unnecessarily

Because of a poorly designed stand, my monitor is 74CM away. I'm hoping a new stand can bring the screen closer and fix my issues of not being able to see enough in my peripheral.

i noticed the app.ini file has nothing in the graphics now. It is only 2 lines for each.
Nobody ever lists what Nvidia settings they run. Some of those settings make a huge deal

why do you want to go 4FPS lower than your monitors refresh rate?
Yeah also wondering that. If your pc stuggles hitting it dead on at 165fps I understand but if the system can run 165fps I would even set it to 166fps max personally. And honestly, if the game doesn't tear up on me I would even leave it uncapped most of the time. Depends really on the game I'm running.

What does the “max cars” setting next to the draw cars setting do? You have it set to 63. Is that the best number to have it set to?
That is important for overlays, it will get information of all the cars. The draw number just determined how many cars are actually shown at the same time
Any thoughts on doing an updated rig tour? I dont get how some are you have a view distance of 620mm with 32" screens and still seem to keep the monitors behind the base even with a shaft extension. At my seating position, 620mm puts my center monitor directly behind my wheel. I must be doing something wrong and iv been doing it wrong for 5 years lol.
Guessing your arms are maybe too stretched out when in the rig? You want your elbow to be close to 90 degree when holding the wheel. Or are you maybe a 2.20m NBA player? 😅
Same here I'm 5'10" elbows at 90° my screen distance is 610mm and my monitor is between my DD base and my wheel. I've always wondered how people are getting so close when it looks way further away than my setup.
@@grantbreshears7533 Not jus that, but with the monitors that close and the angles tucked in too at whats recommended with all the different calculators, its stupid hard to get in and out sometimes. Or since i do rally, sometimes my hand hits the monitor when pulling the handbrake because its right over it.

Dan could you help me with my settings debug x,y,z raw is never 0 and 100% .When i press the pedals y raw max 25% z raw max 59% can you tell me how it should be ok?
If your pedals don’t have calibration that work in hardware (there are many) then it’s perfectly fine to get those numbers when calibrating ingame
I run triple 1440p curved 165hz HDR monitors with a 13900k and a 4090 and my FPS never drops below 150 with higher settings than you’re using

@@dunnyzed6953 I'm new to Iracing, started when I got my Moza R9 DD wheel. I heard a lot about irFFB but I chose to run it without. Iracing has some of the best FFB feeling out of all the games I tested so personally I really don't see the point in trying to enhance it when it's perfect. I think those tools are more in place for older belt or gear driven wheels.

@@dunnyzed6953 If it is like most ffb enhancers in games (I did use one for Assetto Corsa) it could increase the details coming through. Boosting and adding stuff on top of the games ffb and your wheels own ffb will most of the time ruin the level of detail.
I started AC again when recieving my DD wheel and I was quite dissapointed. Found out that although I removed the app that enhanced FFB it still left a small .ini file in the root folder that messed up the settings. Removed it and WOW now I understand why people with DD wheels love AC.

Flickering? Can you describe it in more detail. Is it perhaps screen tearing?
Yes i tried graphic reconfiguration, low graphic setting but tearing is continuos also at 140 fps
@@alexlib3357 running in Windowed modes (borderless) is often best and it should kill most tearing issues as it makes use of Windows default triple buffering for desktop apps. What refresh rate is your monitor?

30 fps in some scenarios with a 13900k and 4090? That's really sad iracing.
Dynamic objects/ shadowing turn off mate, you wont noticed much difference and save a big amount of fps 👍
Hello Dan, one suggestion from me.. if you drive only iRacing, please, go in BIOS and turn off cpu hyperthreading.. you will gain 10% fps... thank me later ❤
