I would like to thank you so much sir for this explicit explanation. I just think that in this sentence"The mist is disappearing slowely" the verb "is disappearing " is not monotransitive.Yet ,it's intransitive. Right?
My wife asked me a question,” 'me' is the indirect object and 'a question' is the direct object. But unlike most verbs that take an indirect object, 'to ask' can't take its indirect object in a 'to' or 'for' phrase; that is, we can't say, “My wife asked a question to me.”....
Hello Sir , Are adjective complement, verb complement , noun complement and adverb complement functions or are there any technical terms for them because with our teacher we have never written in our lesson and experiences hat the function is adj / adv / n/ v complement. Can we say that verb complement and adjective complement and adverb complement are simply adverbials since it complements the verb and adjective and adverb and that noun complements are adjectivals since they modify/ complement the noun ?
Yes, you can. It is just a matter of details. E.g, subject complemet is a broad terminological function in parsing, but to be more specific, we say predicate adjective or predicate noun...
The second sentence contains an adjective clause, not a noun clause.

9.. "if he can bring her..." it is a noun clause functioning as object complement ( her father) So, it's not completing the adverb happily.
"Her father" direct object ?
