Lisa, this video was perfection. It was intelligent, empathetic, and extremely generous. In a world where there is so much deception and people are frequently exhibiting numerous unhealthy behaviors, you speaking the truth in this wonderful way, came from your precious heart and shone like a light through your beautiful eyes. I have been extremely blessed in my life to have a small handful of safe, supportive girlfriends but we are now middle aged and have moved to different parts of the country to be near our grown children. I have realized these people are irreplaceable and only wish someone just like you lived closer to me because I am missing those connections. Thank you for being a breath of fresh air! You are amazing!

That comment about the hardware store is profound!
I grew up in an extremely abusive household and I tried to remain loving to these parents, hoping to help them change. It took 20 years of therapy and them cutting me off to finally get past the pain and in the last year to be ok with not having them in my life. I can’t change anyone and it’s not my fault.

I’m in the season of my life where I prefer to keep my friend circle VERY small, and I am just fine with that. I deleted all social media except UA-cam 2 years ago….best thing ever! I’m also at a point where I enjoy immensely being by myself, I don’t want or need to be with people or groups anymore because I have found in the past, people are just not who they appear to be, and when you feel like you are being taken advantage of, lied to, used it just makes it easier to be very discerning about your time and energy. You’re a wise one Lisa, and I know from being a long time follower, people haven’t always been kind to you, but you have persevered and grown from that, so kudos to you friend for being strong and rising above❤️

Lisa❤ you have no idea how much I needed to hear this today. It’s my birthday.. but I have spent the entire weekend mulling over my job because the people I work with her extremely toxic. I made friends with someone who told me I couldn’t trust anyone around me because I was new to the company. And I didn’t really believe all of that, but after a while when someone seems like they are there for you and helping you get used to where you’re at.. my coworker I considered a friend. People would come to me and say she’s not your friend. Which, of course is unsettling and then you think what don’t I know. After about a month nobody there talks to me I need this job. So people take jabs day in and day out. I’ve never been somebody who is overly emotional, but I end up crying. Thank God no one sees because I don’t want them to think they can win. It is to the point where my leads and supervision are the same. So I am looking for different work. It is extremely painful to have to deal with that on the daily and I know what it’s like to be bullied and I never got that in school. My daughter dealt with it in middle school and some in high school. I told her that I understood what that was like and how isolating that must feel because you have to deal with these people it gives me perspective. I’ll take the perspective, but I just want peace. So I’m gonna repeat that much or that you said at the beginning that you heard from the therapist in the show and player video I am out doing my job. Luckily, I only have to be around these people beginning and end of shift sometimes in the middle it’s just depends. I appreciate you so much. You have no idea today. I was doing a good job. I think that’s what made her feel threatened, and then she twisted things to suit her. But I know the way that they characterizing is not me. So now I make a lot of mistakes so if I can get this out of my head all the time that would be great so I’m gonna try a lot harder to do that .Anyway, thank you so much.

You know Lisa, it really rings true hearing this message when you hear it coming from someone other than your own understanding of exactly what you're speaking about. So many of us know this to be true, we hear it in our own minds, and yet, it really gets our attention when we hear it being shared like you're doing. Wow, exactly spot on, there's no way around it other than to except that we will run into toxic people as we travel through life. Even our own family members can throw us for a loop, and a curve ball again and again. And the older we get, we simply cannot afford to waste time mowing over what went wrong, we have to wake up to it immediately and move in the opposite direction away from the negative energy. Great topic

The older I get, the more I let things slide and can laugh..I used to think I was a one man army. Truth is, we are not meant to fix people. We can lend support and prayers, even from afar. It seems like social media is more toxic period. But...we dont have to react nor do we have to let it get us down. You know we here in the South, just have to say "Bless their heart". Lisa you never have to prove your side. People really are with you or they are not. Any fool can recognize that you are true and genuine. You always want the best for us. You are beautiful, have God in your heart and love your family. I am thankful I ran across you in 2017. I have enjoyed watching you. I had a terrible injury and was on a picc line and taking 5 infusions a day. The Good Lord, my family and you helped me get thru something I wasnt so sure I was going to make it. I. had 3 sugeries and when I woke up I want a diet coke and a Lisa video. So THANK YOU!.
This was a much needed video. It's not our job to fix everyone and everything..but us Virgo's have to remind ourselves. Have a great week!!

This is everything! Lisa, this was so, so good! Every last thing you said was spot on! So much of this is self awareness. Why do we say and do the things and what triggers us to feel ‘less than’ or angry or upset or unsettled. It’s take me until my 6th decade to realize I don’t need piles of people in my life. I need my husband, children, parents, some family and a few good friends. Maria Condo your relationships. If they no longer bring me joy, I thank them and let them go. Maybe I’m in the wrong but when it becomes toxic, it’s not serving anyone and it’s best to move on. Such a great video. 😘😘

Great talk Lisa I’m 55 i learned back in my early thirties to let go of those who are toxic people and never look back it’s a great feeling to not to have to deal with the negativity being kind and having boundaries is important for me when it comes to people and by the way I’m a new followers enjoy your videos and like seeing your cats they are so cute

Thankyou for all of your wise thoughts Lisa. I agreed with everything you said and I think it is important to reflect and remind ourselves that it is ok to let go of people and relationships that no longer serve us and we shouldn't feel guilty about that. As a mother of a daughter who has just got out of a toxic relationship this was a very timely video for me.

So well stated. About 7 years ago a dear friend of mine took a comment very differently than I intended it. Even after apologizing and truly being sorry she would not talk to me but she talked about me to everyone who would listen. I stepped back and decided our friendship had simply run its course. We started talking again recently but I’ve put very clear boundaries around our relationship. It was hard at first but it works. Boundaries are important. I will say that a counselor was very helpful during this time as well; not just for my healing but on ways I could have handled it all better. It’s all led to so much growth.

Good for you Lisa it’s not always easy to do the right thing.. my mother always use to say be the bigger person and walk right by it’s there loss.. So I pass that on to my kids.. doesn’t always work, but all we can do is do our best..

This was an amazing video with exceptional advice. Some of us would love to start a youtube channel, but I for one am so afraid of some the trolls, or negativity that comes with youtube. It is scary. Then I saw a meme from a youtuber that said something on the lines of this..."what a person comments are not about you, it says everything at about themselves, they are at war with themselves and have to tear everyone down. That reflection they see is not about you, it is all about themselves. When someone is in turmoil then want to bring everyone down. We love you Lisa!!

Oh wow ! I just had an incident and harboring anger for a few days . It’s hard to just let go when it’s a relative . That being said , that toxic person has to be limited when he comes around . So thank you thank you ! I feel as though you were talking directly to me 😢. It’s hard to do but sometimes we have to do it so we can be better ! I am so grateful for your channel . I feel a weight lifted and I will make today a good day ! God Bless

Great video topic, Lisa. I have a lifelong friend of 62 years. We have been through it all since we were 12 years old. There were a few years when we did not speak. Fortunately for us both, we found each other again, mended our differences, and continued to be best friends. I am grateful for this friendship because I have learned it is harder to make good friends when we're older. Having a deep history with someone is one of life's gifts. Perhaps try to heal the relationship if it's possible. ❤❤❤❤
