    My understanding is that Peppermint is not good if you have reflux... it ‘encourages’ the sphincter to open from what I have been taught. If anyone has heartburn or reflux, it might be best to avoid peppermint.

    Lovely video as always Meghan :) I have peppermint oil capsules on prescription from my doctor for my IBS-D, they work really well, but in moderation. Because they move gas along so well, they also move everything else along too! I love ginger, so good for nausea, I hate teas so I always have a stack of Ginger Biscuits on me wherever i go 😀 (probably not as healthy...) x

I dranked it before bed and next morning my stomach was in pain but after that well you get it. Seems like i lost 5lb. Hope it helps someone. God bless

    Fennel tea is my favourite actually! Steamed fennel is also very soothing and helps decrease nausea (at least for me). But I also love love ginger, I add some slices of fresh ginger to every cup of tea I drink! Peppermint is also soo good and helpful :)

    I am a breastfeeding mom, and they say that peppermint dries you out, as well as ginger and turmeric. I drink green smoothies, and I sparingly add in a sprinkle of turmeric and a piece of ginger root, and I haven't noticed anything significant. Is this true? If so, what can I drink that's good for digestion?

    • @meghanlivingstone
      @meghanlivingstone  6 років тому +2

      Oh very interesting! I haven't heard of that specifically, but it's possible. Just listen to your body and keep noticing if anything changes! Fennel is great for digestion and is also great for promoting breastmilk production :-)

    Ha ha I was literally just cutting up a load of ginger at the start of the video for juicing in the morning. 😀 I also use slippery elm if I'm experiencing constipation; it's pretty good for that. Great video, thanks. I liked what you said about peppermint and fennel. I drink them sometimes but not as much as I should. 😁

    I love drinking nettle, fennel and peppermint! So soothing in the mornings and evenings after dinner. I definitely love having ginger in my smoothies you can't even taste it. Also I have daily flu shots, which aren't from any doctors office. It includes ginger garlic, cayenne pepper, honey and 1/2 a lemon. Amazing for the immune system. Chop up the ginger and garlic finely put everything together and just down it like a shot! Lol the only shots I take 😉 thank you for the video!!
