I hope they actually put the effort into developing a solid storyline this time around and not just slap "Star Wars" on it and expect it to sell. The last movies were lazily written and it showed.
But you're gonna buy a ticket just to find out... So why would they waste time on quality or artful thinking. Stop going to find out if you're gonna like it. Catch it on streaming. Who cares about spoilers .. they are easy to predict anyways and uninteresting to the character path.

Then its weak at best. Which I get when you have 9 movies in a franchise, you will definatley like some more than others. However bad writing will kill any hopes of fans returning to see it again. its the "Sci-fi/Star Wars" fandom that concerns me more than the actual movies that are released. The vast majority judge a movie now before its even seen or from how they think it should have told instead of enjoying the story for what it is. But hopefully Disney will get out of their own way and focus on writing better storylines and keep the politics in the news where it belongs.
Two directors retconning each others ideas didn't help matters either. Not bothered about this currently. Will prob just stream as the other poster said.

The character that had the most potential in the sequel messes was Kylo Ren/Ben Solo. Adam Driver’s acting talent carried those films, change my mind.
Well they treated the character so badly that Adam Driver will probably never do it again.

I just wish the canon followed the legend books where han and leia have 3 children ,jacen, jaina, and Anakin solo and Luke has a child also that would be epic because of all the books new Jedi order was the best series in my opinion

Agreed there was so many books made with the star wars name on it that was great. To be honest if disney would have chosen any!!!!! of those stories to afapt and make their own by modifying it they wouldn't have many of the issues they now face. The only thing they can do is 2 things either reboot the sefies again and go back to basic established universe where they can get the fans back to make them money, or just continue what their doing and watch the company burn more than it already is and will continue to do.
Disney didn't want the legacy of the force instead they created Ray lame, but I know what you mean I would have love to see Jaina solo and Mara Jade 😭💯
