Thanks for the video! one thing I noticed is that there is a lot of 60 cycle hum in the parts of the video that made it hard to hear what you were saying. You could always switch the pickups to one of the phase cancelling positions while you are talking and then switch back to the bridge when you are playing. Great information though!
1st. been messing around with some of the stuff you've been going over in these lessons on an old acoustic guitar with decently high action so this vid was kinda funny to me when you're talking about pedals and amps and low action electrics:) really enjoying this lil skramz series tho. keep it up!
I played finger style blues for way too long. I got into screamo and hardcore a few years ago and I finally said I need to learn how to use a pick. 2 years later and I can tremolo really well, arpeggiate chords with it, palm mute, etc. The attack is hard to get consistent though! I'm working on an album with a new sound, and I'm using a modded guitar that has a single coil pickup in the bridge, no other pickups 🤣 It sounds good though! Thanks for the video, these tips have helped me try out new things lately!
yeah both finger style and picking have their own challenges, and each works well for a certain sound! it’s sick yr challenging yourself and branching out!
loved this, however, i'm really interested to know what those posters on the wall behind you are about? To me they look like rituals and stuff and like, idk I'm curious as hell now lol.
Remember me when your famous screamo boy
Came for the skramz, stayed for the charisma (moustache). I think a lot of new guitarists/punk guitarists could learn a lot from your videos.
HELL YEAAAAAAH WE EATING GOOD TODAY

Did you tryed slide in screamo? It sounds surprisingly emotional with the right tone and notes
@@dmitrys_photos Ooh that's a cool idea. I used a slide on a sludge metal song once, it was ridiculous haha
can u make a video about guitar rig/pedals to get that skramz/screami/emo guitar tones
Sure! I'm not much of a gear head, but there's a few pedals/amps that are pretty common in the genre.
DYLAN IS BACK AGAIN LETS GOOOOO
youre a legend
I really liked excrusis especially ur Demo II
thanks! all of the songs on demo 2 are coming out on our next record, which will be announced shortly!
great as usual
sick käthe kollwitz shirt
thanks, RIP karl RIP rosa
thanks again
I find out that setting pickups lower from strings helps with clarity
if they are too close to the strings you can get some buzzing, but you want them to be pretty close when fretting, like no more than 3/16" probably.
wooooo
Dogg is that a Yaphet Kotto shirt????
bootleg but yeah!
