I love these guys. Was blessed to work 3rd shift with the guitarist at a foundry called Nuclear Metals in Acton back around 88 and he gave me a copy. I still have it 25 years later.
If this was released on a better quality compilation like Minor Threat's material was this would probably be more enjoyable for a lot of people, however I dig raw production.
I saw that show. It was an all ages matinee at the Channel and it was early afternoon. Its weird cuz its so vivid down to smell and touch almost.I liked them thought they wer egood
interesting that this band was totally shunned by the supposedly conservative boston HC scene of the early 80s yet people today love them an make excuses for their at best idiotic lyrics
na, i'm just repeating what the band said! .... "The aim of the band was presumably to piss off as many people as possible, and their dubious tactic was bigotry. In possibly their only Boston appearance, opening up for the Angelic Upstarts in 1982, the singer told racist jokes from the stage and threw the mike stand at a member of the audience. Shortly after, there was an exchange of letters in the local magazine Boston Rock, where Vile defended their right to “free speech” and took out ads proclaiming “VILE says FUCK OFF!”
also, you will notice that records of this caliber are always the most coveted...and even the most dogmatic punk spokespersons have a almost encyclopedic knowlege of such records...why,even Timmy Yo had a section of the MRR collection..kept away from the unwashed hoards mind you..of skrewdriver and the like...of course for research purposes.....

I found an original 1983 copy of this on vinyl for 1$ at my local record store. Lucky find on that one.
I love getting drunk and listening to this.
guitar tone is soo sick
+Docking4Friendship seriously. nasty, filthy and razor sharp. classic buzzsaw old school guitar sound
Like a dentist’s drill!
like a shitty tiny carbureted motor, the fuckin best!
Enjoying this
Randomly thought about this record after 10 years of forgetting about it.
Awesome! Never heard this before and I bought tons of hardcore in the early '80's.
Ditto. This Vile sђչर is a knockout. Every x I think I've heard [ of ] em all...another pleasant suprise! XXX4 life.
Damn Boston hardcore is fucking hard! Gives NY a run for its money.
I think it's nastier and harder than NY I like it better.
@@mr.samurai901the only thing from this era from nyc that has that same desperate unhinged sound is the Urban Waste 7”
@@mr.samurai901 well not the nihilistics but still top notch
Black operations comes through again. killer stuff 🤘

Ricky X this was recorded at a famous studio actually.
Better production doesn't always make punk sound better. Ever hear end of the century by Ramones. Just saying...
Oh my, this rips
Buen HxC Punk!
Tony from Sqrm brought me here

That's cool, did he play in any other bands? Not enough info on this band, need some live footage.
My cusin was the drummer

it's even the (perfect) title of a record that's been in the works for a few years www.discogs.com/Vile-Says-Fuck-Off/release/8338103
