I love it when a camera operator has the sense to pick up things like the excessive plywood bounce of the stage. That attention to detail really puts you in the moment.
My brother and I remember the lead singer Bear, we called him. He lived up in the Feather River Canyon near Belden. He stayed in my father's cabin called The Green Mountain Home. He màde beautiful candles with wax flowers in them!!! I remember as a young teen girl...he wore only overalls...with one shoulder straps unhooked, as I was quite sheltered, that was shocking to me!!! I saw too much for my innocent eyes!!! Well Bear, if you're reading this, you left a great impression on myself, Kathleen and my little blond brother Jeffery!!! And funny story, I ended up living in East Oakland and loved dancing at the blues clubs in Oakland, Berkeley. I LOVE Blues and R and B music. My Dad is still rolling over in his grave!! Hi Bear if you're reading this, that candle smelled so good...petuli oil? I think of you when I smell that wonderful smell. Reach out to me. Awesome seeing you singing Boogie, yes! Keep on boogieing!🏵️🌸💓
@@LarryFreeman-kw9ns I'm pretty sure she's aware of that. But still, if her note can get to him REALLY FAST, I mean really really really fast, he just might get the message in time.
@Callum Harper re your response to @Chris Lahay's belittlement of drugs: Some people will never learn. Incorrigible fools. BTW Blind Owl Wilson died at the age of 27. Too many took that stupid THE-WHO-line "hope I die before I get old" too serious! And: Drugs did not only kill this band but many others. Not to mention those millions worldwide who were not in the limelight and died a private unnoticed death. Yet, people such as Chris Lahay would and will scold people such as us squares or something like that.

Blind Owl was awesome

He’s dead died in 1981 from drugs rip the bear

This was the best boogie band, it just doesn't get any better.
Best authentic blues intro ever...!
5:42 Grace Slick and Janis Jopplin Enjoying the concert!
Alan Wilson is my spirit animal
blind owl was soooo underrated, he was a bad man
Man these guys rocked! My all time favorite band!
Best at 'boogie'.
this is dirty as dirty... if something on you doesn't move to this you ain't alive
dark and with threatening skies and then Canned Heat. What else can you say. Then 2:02, if that didn't start you moving your dead.
RIP Larry "The Mole" Taylor
How the hell was this left out of the Woodstock original movie?
Woodstock likes to focus on jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin. Honestly they played one of the best set at woodstock.
@@SYCHO-DELIC
Without a doubt
It's in the blu ray
They wanted a bigger pay an didnt get it so dispute
@@amonduul2154 wish Johnny Winter was in it as well. Damn shame
one of the best hits ever! Damn shame Blind Owl died so young.
4/5/1981 - 4/5/2021 40 Years Ago Bob "The Bear" Hite passed away..Rip Brother..
42 years now
Alan and his guitar mesmerized the crowd
Im 13 and would say Canned heat is my favourite band of all time the groove man. That groove
Yes. I don't usually do 'boogie' but Canned Heat made it cross over.
You got good taste in music. I'm 20 years older than you and they're my favorite band.
Kid, you’re one of a kind. Your papa or mama taught you well. If you tell me you aren’t into Tik tok I’ll adopt ya myself.
I am 18 and I must say Alan Wilson is one of the best players for sure
I’m 18 and they’re my current favorite band!
i remember someone saying this is how solos went before hendrix for some reason
Finally boogie music
This is what the Devil at the crossroads WISHES he sounded like.
Who dares hit thumbs down......
Someone who doesn't appreciate talent ! Long live Canned Heat..
Wilson is to cool
THUMBS UP. LOVE THIS VIDEO.
I wonder where that gold top Gibson is now.
This goldtop is owned by "tune your sound" in Luxembourg. You can see it on their website and you can even play it if you go there 😉
Allan is King 🤴 🙌 😍 ❤️!
No suelo escuchar Blues pero esta cancion me gusta :)
Musique fantastique.
Why can't the human race have anything like this today?
5:42 Janis and Grace...😊
I think at a point there he was playing when your way gets dark by Charlie Patton
i want that beat up gold top
the tops
Is he using standard tuning or open tuning?
He was a big fan of stone temple pilots for sure😄
How do you work that out, Canned Heat were almost 30 years before Stone Temple Pilots!!
seriously?
Better get a calendar man.
The record version goes way harder with the boogie then the versions on UA-cam
Maybe, but then you don't get to see the stage moving underneath the weight of the band boogying.
IS that Grace Slick at 5:47 ?
Looks to me, like Grace & Janis!
Jefferson just finished their set before canned heat went on
this is dusk??? the airplane played at sunrise lol
Is this a robert jhonson reference?
All this audio is THE actual audio even like drums, guitar, etc?
Yes it is. Unretouched. Like all of the performances in the movie Woodstock.
Who are the girls @ 5:45 ??
What tuning is this?
Seems to be open A
he played in open G quite often
I can see that ZZ Top stole their la grange riff from this LOL partly
Tbh it’s all just blues in A
It is too classic to be stolen by anyone, inspired, perhaps.
That’s what I was saying to
You can see his face and his voice that’s it’s like he is using drugs but still R.I.P the blind owl
Nothin wrong with drugs lmao

Way better than Morrison 😂
