How does it actually work? Do each led turn off when there is gap and turn on when shows a character in every rotation, that looks like so fast toggle cycle. Can anybody care to explain
I would not trust any download that might be found for anonymous products like this. I don't really trust the CD-ROMs, but at least I have an old notebook computer that is not online and is not in any way networked to my 'real' computers, so any mischief software that might be on that disk is limited to that one expendable computer. If your computer does not have a CD compatible drive, you can buy inexpensive external drives easily enough.
I did the same steps but the cd didn’t fit into my laptop so I downloaded the same program. I uploaded my message to the fan but no message came on the fan. Can you please help me
No, I can't. Anyway, how can the CD "not fit into your laptop"? It is smaller than a normal CD, not larger. In a full CD tray, there should be a recessed area for the smaller CDs. In a typical laptop/notebook computer CD drive, the CDs snap onto the hub. And how could you do "the same steps", when the first thing to do is install the software, and you could not do that? If you were able to download the program, then you got it from the maker's website, right? Can you try contacting them about your problem?
Well, this can't do 'spherical' because that would be three dimensional and this can only do two dimensional images. And do you mean that you want round/circular small images (small, as in the size of the letters and icons), or do you mean a larger circular image the size of the entire fan? You can only define a "message" comprised of a string of letters and/or icons (symbols), and as I recall that message length is less that what would completely fill the circumference of the fan's rotation. So, the best you could do is to refine a custom "message" made up of a string of custom symbols, up the the maximum length, and this would sort of look like a nearly circular image, except the fan will always put some space between the character positions, so it would not be a contiguous image. And, it would only appear in the outer circumference band, and would not extend closer to the center of the circle. So, I think it would be impossible to have it depict something like a "batman" logo. However, there are other similar devices out there that are not fans, but which are designed to display larger scale images.
Yeah, I meant round as opposed to spherical, I know that the centre would not be lit because there isn’t any lights there. But thank you for the response and letting me know.
MrGamelobby, the driver seemed to me to be either DOS app or an early Windows app (3.1, XP, something like that) which used to run on pretty much any PC, but since Win 10, 11, I suspect such old apps might not work.
In case you still haven’t found it, here is a link www.mydigoo.com/downfile.html?path=2016/mydigoo/20170724/5975c6e978280-LED%20Fan%20Editor.zip I have the same fan too btw
Except laptops, most serious, powerful computer still have hard drives...you just said 'drive', but every modern PC has at least an SSD (solid state drive). LOL yourself
BuzzLeenWi.....are you being serious? Audio CDs are still very much a 'going thing's, albeit not as popular as they once were. People who are OK with the artifacts and lower quality that come with MP3 and streaming probably are mostly listening to pop music, which is less critical and is well served by those formats. But people who listen to a lot of classical and serious jazz, just to name a couple, find that those formats don't deliver good enough quality and thus still buy their music on CDs. About half the music I buy comes on CD, and I have no problem finding it on that format....it is neither rare not obsolete.
@@youtuuba Thanks though, but I we rarely uses CD's on my fam nowadays, even our laptops has no CD reader to it, for movie we watches on netflix, hulu, or any other online stuff and programming my wireless headset light colors are downloadable app from windows. But maybe in my main country where I came from they still really uses CD's specailly on computer shops. so yea. Thanks for the info still. 😊👍✌
Thank you soooo much for this Demo! It really helped me figure out why my Model wasn't responding at first :)

Could you make it do something not quite spherical? Like the batman symbol? And I mean one big batman symbol rather than small font sized ones.

Does it work on Win11? Because I have tried, but it doesn't install the driver.

Everything works until I save it, it won't let me and "IC ROM Over" appears, can you help me? I do not know what to do :(
Lasy Martinez, I can't help. These products are produced by many makers, with variations. You should try contacting whoever you bought yours from.

Thought you had 7.
Meaningless comment without more specific context.
Who uses CD's nowadays, I can't even remember how to use CD anymore and all of my gadgets are non cd player. 😭
