Idk if this a good idea for an episode, but you guys could go through each season making the god roster for each season (who was the best player in each role each season) or whatever you decide to do
I really loved the list but was really expecting Nike to be on the solo laner discussion
Only problem with Nike to me is a dependency on shields and a slowish jump (though tbh the jump is only had if there's counters to it)
@@pfitz9346 I don't think it's that big of a deal as long as you're not building multiple shield characters like Charon. Nike statistically for the last few years has been top of the charts for win rates it's crazy if you check them out. She's got area denial, knockback, knock up, slow, a getaway tool, shield, it's crazy.
I feel like Eset Support should have gotten an honorable mention!
Good early wave clear, 2 CCs, Prot Shred, Shields, and potentially team-wide 30% mits. Very strong except for those stinky mage stats
Something I would personally add to mid lane criteria is indirect/over wall damage. When it comes to straight damage and DPS, it’s hard to beat a hunter autoing whoever is running straight at them, but mages can contribute by fighting people out of line of sight. It’s similar to how a lot of people prefer mages with high range, because over the wall damage allows them to contribute in fights from a safe position/in a different way than traditional hunters will.
I'm a little surprised Persephone wasn't in the conversation for mages if we're looking at kits on paper. Two abilites that are can pump damage consistently, a pretty fast whoops button on a decently short cooldown, and a 'semi-global' ult that can just win teamfights on its own, sometimes even if you whiff a little. Her passive also generates you a decent amount of gold for free just for playing the game. If you're behind the enemy, you're closer than normal. If you're even, you're ahead. And if you're ahead, you are snowballing like crazy.
She’s a great stacker as well, not too mana hungry so book gets stacked easily
Persephone is missing objective secure. I was surprised Kuku didn't make the list
Current Persephone doesn't deserve to even be mentioned as a good character, It's terrible and one of the worst kits in the game after the rework. She's only viable because of her ultimate.
Not naming Awilix in jungle is criminal. She has multiple forms of cc in her kit, she has immunity frames, and zooms around the map instaclearing her jungle. She fights super well early game and her passive plus feather-step means she can take most 1v1s especially against gods whose escapes are a leap. Busted kit.
Maui talk making me amped for Smite 2. By FAR my favorite new release since I started playing the game. Most fun guardian in the game IMO. Jamming to Ocean Man and going fishing.
Aggros gods in general been solid so far.
I would love to hear more content on God design. Aggro mentioned "Fishman"? Ive never heard of.
I know Aggro is newer to the team but maybe some of them can be guests on the podcast. He's been talking more lately about his and Lermys process.
If I like a song, im going to look into other songs by that artist.
Yeah I started just walking to the store which takes me around 40 minutes all together and it definitely helps me a lot. I struggled with sleep and walking at least once a day helps tremendously.

The annual cycle of Ganesha is people spending about half of every season saying he's the worst God in the game and needs a rework, and about half of the every season saying he's the perfect support lol
Ganesh kit is ridiculous just the ult alone is enough to put him as a great support. Has a silence, his one increases allies power, has a knock up and his ult slows, shreds prots and does a shit ton of damage on a 45 sec cd with max cd unless they nerfed him. Idk why people want him to be reworked.
Man i think Ganesha has always been very good. God is very annoying if you are trying to dive the backline. The ult provides massive control in a teamfight. I honestly don’t want him reworked ever.
I think it’s mainly his passive because it’s bad for ranked. Better for comp. You want your get fed when you’re playing ranked, even on a support. Tbh you should just be giving gods assists on minions and kills anyways. It’s the worst passive in the game by far. If they changed that to something actually useful besides guaranteed Thebes stacks he would be op
So what I got from just watching the ADC part, heim is the best hunter of all time and Rama is the hunter of all time.
I have been for almost 6 years and have over 3.8k hours and man slows have to be the most under appreciation cc in the game. Like calling ymir 2 bad is crazy its 35% slow. the amount who die just because they couldn't get away from him. his 2 base 8 seconds its so good just hit it slams
The slow part is good but the application isnt the best. He roots himself, it has small delay, its a small area. Its good for early lane pressure.
As a sup main I'm on par with the Ganesh take. Ymir is my boy but Ganesh is my "brain dead" pick, side-by-side with Horus.
Hel in the mid lane just think of her whole kit it is absolutely ridiculous can help your team kill them with her 2 can help her team with cleanse and heal and can one shot squishies

Khepri is the most supportey kit and its not even close. Fight me. I'm a Ganesha stan too but his ultimate just does not belong. Khepri has a better grab, his projectile gives THIRTY percent damage mitigation...
Ganesha offers lot more flexibility. Playing Khepri aggressively is much harder than Ganesha. He can pretty much only play as a defensive peel support.
Barra always sits in lane for 25 minutes so he only knows late game warriors who are all ass compared to hunters.
