The mirror also acts as a mirror when power isn't supplied or the LCD screen is turned off.

Is this unit still working for you? I didn't notice until after purchase that there's a warning that states this is a frequently returned item because it stops working CORRECTLY within 6 months! Be honest,please. I'm kind of upset because this thing wasn't cheap.
@@jrambo7495 100% honest from me it is still working. It takes a beating in this truck off road and you will see I recently used the video from it on my latest off road adventure.

Looks great. A bit pricey though. I have a backup cam as part of my CarPlay radio. If I ever get off my a$$ and install it. lol.
I love the CarPlay radio stuff I’ve put in a few of my vehicles. I’m loving the recording functionality. Makes the off road capture soooo much easier since wheeling and filming is tricky. Do you have a sound system in Matilda?
@@McSpeedAlaskanAdventures I have a nice CarPlay system Atoto 8. And two 6.5” speakers from crutchfield. But I haven’t installed it yet. I have to build my center console first

did you wire it directly to the battery?
One terminal goes to battery and one to ignition on. The T9 pro shows it will run 24 volt on the amazon description. However on the Humvee you only hook to the second battery positive terminal and any good chassis ground and you have 12 volts. You can then put a relay on the factory Humvee ignition to the 12 volt and you have reliable solid 12 volt battery and ignition on. You can get the ignition on terminal on the back of your alternator or tap into the ignition switch wires. I have many 12 volt item in my truck including the winch.

What did you wire the "red" wire to on the reverse camera harness to? It states to connect the red wire to the "reverse light"
@@cmills7768 you find the wire that supplies power to the back up light and attach to that. Just splice it in. And it will then auto switch to reverse mode with guides on screen when backing.
