Are LEGO Disney Minifigures The Future? | Thoughts & Predictions

- Disney 100 has blessed LEGO fans with a wide range of sets, from Brickheadz to the much requested Up House. With all these sets releasing, it opens up many doors for what the future could hold. Will Disney branch out from just minidolls, or will this be a one and done deal?

I’m really glad that we’re finally starting to get non-Mickey related characters in minifigure sets. My fingers are crossed for Tangled figures and a Lilo figure to go with Stitch!
Rapunzel's hair piece would be one bulk but amazing mould omg
@@HollyOnFilm We need it! Even if it’s just the braid (I’m sure it would be), we need it!
I hope Lilo is in the next Disney minifig series
@@actionfraction6712 Or maybe a set
@@HollyOnFilm I want Dipper and Mabel Minifigures from Gravity Falls.
I really hope Lego & Disney make more minifigures of not only the Princesses but also their Prince counterparts. I love the Disney Villains as well, & with the next series we’ll have a total of like 11 of them!!
Shout out to minifig Aladdin leading the way. I want to make a Villians display so badly once the CMF releases
Agree. And more sets fore them too.
Loving that Lego are expanding on their Disney portfolio. Cannot wait for Snow White later this year and the CMF series I think the train and up house also are going to have to be in my must have lists. A great video Holly. Thank you. 😊xx
Oh boy, this is a tough year to be a Disney shill, so much great stuff coming out! I did not know that train set was a thing, thanks for the headsup! Its super cute, definitely gonna grab it with the Up house!
Give us some Smee, Chernabog, Gargoyles,Pain,Panic,Beagle Boys,Magica de Spell, Flintheart Glomgold,Three Little Pigs,Big Bad Wolf,Hyancith Hippo,Ben Ali Gator and Pete!
Honestly, I want Lego to do more blanket themes in general, like a theme for the Disney TV shows (e.g. Gargoyles, Kim Possible, Phineas and Ferb, Gravity Falls, Amphibia, The Owl House), a Nintendo/Super Smash Bros theme, or a minifigure scheme for Ben 10 that encompasses the entire classic continuity (or maybe even a full-fledged Cartoon Network theme)
I would love stuff like that but alot of themes like gargoyles or darkwing duck would probley be too unrecognizeable to kids these days. I would love gargoyles but some may call them not kid friendley or too dark. Darkwing is pretty funny overall with some good action but I just feel alot of those themes are basicley forgotten and lego wouldn't put out sets kids today wouldn't recognize.
I agree with you- I think it would be really cool to get some Disney minifigures moving forward instead of the Minidolls. I'm personally not a fan of them- I even wish LEGO Friends would've just stuck to the regular minifigure, but that's just my opinion! Can't wait to collect more Disney sets!!
Disney Minifigures > Disney Minidolls
There is just a larger Minifigure audience than ones for dolls. And dolls look weirder, and have limited articulation.
The Encanto sets gave us a Luisa micro doll with a winking face. Give us a Luisa big fig you cowards!
Holly could yo make more Disney parades
Like many others, I have been loving the new Disney minifigure sets!! I truly hope that Lego continues with this route.
The minidoll sets are cool, but I'm not really all that interested in the range, since I'm much more of a minifigure fan.
Me too. I liked the sets in princess and got a few withought figures and added disney minifigures or custom figures I had done. I got a princess set Aurora's cotage and put Aurora and Melecifant in it. I put two sets of Rapunzel's tower together with a hinged piece and it opens like a doll house. I'm trying to finde the Rapunzel and Flin figures from the new disney castle at a goo price. If afew of the princess sets wer redone with minifigures I'd go for it instantley.
They should've planned booster packs for the train. 1 fig and a cart for 10ish bucks.
I would love to see the Dragon Maleficent set. I always have loved villains and Sleeping Beauty was my childhood movie (thanks to Maleficent).
Great video! I really enjoyed your thoughts and predictions on the future of LEGO Disney minifigures. I agree that they have been very popular and have brought a lot of new collectors into the LEGO community. It's interesting to hear your perspective on how they might continue to evolve and expand, possibly even beyond the Disney franchise.
I wish lego would venture into other Disney properties like Starwars and Marvel
Haven't they been doing that for a long time now? Lego has been making Star Wars sets long before it became a Disney property, and I think Marvel got added into the Superheroes theme around 2012. Though yeah, I do agree that they should be using those themes to cover more of the stories around them.
Totally agree with Holly. Lego Disney sets aimed at a market other than young girls would be a great way to bring new fans to the hobby. Lego knows certain themes or series can do this like BTS or the Friends TV show. This is another theme that could bring in fans. I personally got into Lego with some of the Ideas sets like Back to the Future and Ghostbusters but if it wasn't them, it would've been the first Disney CMF
I realy want Tarzan' lion king' 101 dalmations and uther classics.
Tarzan has to be the movie which will never get LEGO minifigures, because of rights issue. Tarzan appeared in Kingdom Hearts once and never again.
2:43 One thing that I like about her shirt dress being printed is she can now actually sit down without her dress piece getting in the way and potentially damaging it over time.
I didn't think about that at first! That makes so much sense with the 4+ set, I ended up putting the Castle figures legs on the new figure for my display and it's perfect
Give us a Ratatoullie set!
I just want a Sora minifigure wether he comes in another CMF series or MAYBE a set tied to KH4
Out of all the missing Disney princesses as minifigures, I really hope we get a minifigure of Merida because she’s my all time favourite princess and I’m keeping my fingers crossed if we get an EVE set to go with WALL-E
There should be more Disney minifigures
I’m going to be broke this year haha! So excited for these sets
I'm excited for the Disney Lego items. Amazing video Holly 👍
The OG Toy Story sets were so iconic
I'm still raging at that abomination of a theme they did in 2019. I was hoping we'd get remakes that were as good or better than the originals. We just got a bunch of 4+ sets that were worse than what came a decade ago and almost all based on the newest movie and not the older ones
Absolute icons. So fun and so creative too
I never minded the mini-dolls, but I hated how they basically kept us from getting Disney Minifigures for years. There are too many great characters that need minifigures, and the sets they have produced sell incredibly well. It feels like there is a huge market that Lego is only now beginning to truly tap.
I want some Hunchback of Notre Dame minifigures, especially Esmeralda.
I’m waiting for LEGO Disney Afternoon. DuckTales, TaleSpin, Darkwing Duck, Gummi Bears, Rescue Rangers, etc.! They have teased some of this, but I want more! A LEGO Seaduck would be amazing!!!
The characters I want to see most in the Disney series 3 are
Mad Hatter
Peg Leg Pete
Nick Wilde
Judy Hopps
Max Goof
Cinderella
Snow White
Oswald the Lucky Rabbit
Doc
Dopey
Sneezy
Happy
Grumpy
Bashful
Sleepy
Prince Charming
Aurora
I am hoping for many more Disney mini figures as well, but as much as I want the classic princesses, heroes and villains, I am even more eager for Disney to shift a focus on their lesser known movies and characters. If Disney keeps up with the 18 pc figure sets in the upcoming years then I hope they will include at least figures from one "lesser" movie each time.
I especially want the following:
1: Taran with Hen Wen and Princess Eilonwy from "The Black Cauldron"
2: Milo and Kida from "Atlantis"
3: Ralph and Vanellope from "Wreck-it Ralph"
But of course also:
Belle, Beast, Raya, Kuzco, Yzma, Kronk, Arthur, Merlin, Mad Madam Mim, Lady Tremaine, Prince Eric, Prince Phillip, Geppetto, Blue Fairy, Stromboli, Fairy Godmother, Flora Fauna, Merryweather, Basil Mouse, Professor Rattigan, Mad Hatter, White Rabbit, and many more. Even from the Treasure Planet movie - so many fun characters to play with 😊
Really crossing my fingers for the 7 dwarfs set now.
And will be getting that new overly expensive castle just for Snowhite, Florian, Rapunzel, Flynn Ryder, Naveen and Tiana, and Cinderella and Charming. Of course those got included in the most expensive set of all (though surprises Tiana was included in the new mini figures series).
We need some Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland ,Aladdin,a 18+ Norte Dame,The Flying Dutchman,Casey Jr. and The Sword in the Stone sets.
Provided they more minifigures as opposed to minidolls. They made some really good minifigures in the packet sets so I don't understand why they didn't caryr on doing that for the sets. Are they somehow "not cute enough" for kiddy sets?
Lego definitely needs to make all 5 missing princesses in minifig form. Well Snow white is coming soon.😁 And I agree, once popular Jungle book, Zootopia... would be awesome in Lego form.
Anyway the most excited Disney minifig for me will come on 1st of May: Pocahontas🤩. It's so awesome design, really Indian vibe, flowing hair... it will fit perfect with other Western cmf and Lone ranger. As a kid in 90's I had Western sets... great memories.😁
I'm just over here hoping for anything Atlantis or Treasure Planet
We really need Willie the Giant,Timon and Timothy Q Mouse!
Why does everyyyyyone except me, elliev, and brickomition hate mini dolls so much? Not that figs are bad, but really, one fig torso mold and 4 (I think) minidoll molds. By the way the newest torso mold is from tabby’s dollhouse
Disney series 2 and the train were released in 2019, not 2018.
Overall great video Holly! Hopefully more minifigure are on the way!
Actually, I don't think so. As much as I enjoy and love Disney chars (especially the classic ones), they just don't have the impact to be a major force for Lego sales.
Imagine if we got Lego Atlantis sets? It’d be such a cool adventurer/steampunk theme
Rumor is those missing princesses Cinderella, belle, beast etc will be in the new Disney castle. I’m going to take the owl 🦉 from new CMF’s and use it in my Winnie the Pooh set.
Great video thanks holly. I really hope Disney finally makes a Mary poppies set or mini figure at least. After all it’s the 60th anniversary of Mary poppies next year🙂
do you remember the old Disney stores they use to have in Australia?, I'm pretty sure they all closed down in the mid 2000s
I don't know what lego was thinking just doing princess and focusing mosteley on girls for disney. Did they think boys didnt like the fantasy/castle disney or something? I know thiers plenty of guys who like the same disney movies and charectefs girls do so I wonder why they didn't put more of a boy fokus into the disney theme.
I heard rumours of a new Disney Castle set. I think it's likely that the missing princesses would come with that set. Pity because it is going to cost a fortune. Might wait this time. We eventually got a Goofy separate from the castle so hopefully we will get the other princesses separately as well.
Where did you hear about the Maleficent dragon & the Snow White sets?
Holly, you should do an updated version of all your Lego Harry potter figures since there’s so many more that came out since then.
I'm a middle aged bloke and I love the Disney stuff, but only with mini figs. I think there are lots of us out there. Hoping Lego go for it with film sets as there is such a big pool to choose from the theme could be as big as marvel or even star wars.
Ooh I so whant that wizzerd Micky mouse 😊
does Raya from raya and the last dragon count as a disney princess
They have been me for a whole, alot of the sets are not that interesting to me anymore.
Aurora should have come with the Mini Disney Castle. Really would like to see more upcoming Disney sets in the style of the Mini Castle and Haunted Mansion.
I have my fingers crossed for a Tower Of Terror
Disney x Lego is just dreams come true
I really want a new looney tunes series
Love the Anna and Elsa minifigs.. 😻
I’ve collected all the Disney 100 mini figures sets so far this year! I just finished the new castle but I hope some of the princesses from that set come out in other sets for youngest collectors who want them in minifigur form even if they end up having a little less detail in cheaper sets. Maybe they can keep Cinderella and Prince Charming exclusive but make the others in cheaper sets. Especially since I feel like a lot of people would want rapunzel and Flynn but may not want to spend $400 for them
That's exzactly wbat I'm going for. Realy want moste of those princ and princesses but the price for the castle is too much for me. I'm hoping we get some new sers for the figures. Basicley just doing some redesigns of the princess sets like Rapunzel's tower or Aurora's cotage woukd be good. Doing sets for Aladdin' Peter Pan or Hercules would be great for those who missed the figures when they came out
I just ordered the Up house & I can't wait to get the Maleficent dragon!
I also am excited to hear that they are releasing Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs set!
A lego survey that was sent out to some people from a while ago asked what they thought a good price for certain sets would be and among those sets were Snow White’s cottage and maleficent dragon
the minifigs they are adding to a few of the 4 plus sets for this Disney range and some marvel sets as well are super impressive. looking forward to what other minifigs might be coming out in the future
. Chain
They should do 2 Disney ranges. Disney princess for kids (Minidolls) and Disney Queens for adults. (Minifigs)
I think seeing more minifigures for Disney princesses, and characters in general, would be great! I think Lego could sell minifigures and minidolls and do great!
Oh, I wasn't aware Moana and Merobi- Merida were a double pack like that, I thought you could get 'em separately
Steamboat Willie is one of my favorite sets of all time. Would love a Sorcerer’s Apprentice set but I don’t think we’re getting it. At least we’re getting the minifigure.
Another great video! 👍Pre-ordered my mini figures 😊
The guide to getting Mulan is to detect the rubber hair piece.
Review serie minifguras 100 years please 🙏🙏
They’re on order and I’ll be able to review them in two weeks!
@@HollyOnFilm okey holly
Yay! I made it for the first! As far as I know
We need Gargoyles sets next year!
there is also the new castle coming this year as well.
great vid
Cool
The Golden Years of Disney were the 80's and 90's. You were born at the end of that and grew up in the decline years of Disney, Holly 😅 Still, better than the poor kids growing up with modern Disney and its garbage content.
You're referring to the Disney Renaissance, I'm pretty sure Holly meant the golden years of LEGO Disney since we had so many good sets in the 2000s
@@alli457 she mentioned the films coming out, so I took it as referring to the products of Disney and not LEGO. But I can see how it could also mean that.
@@___David__ nah I'd say that was you misunderstanding her. It was pretty clear she was referring to it in terms of Lego sets. She literally showed Lego sets of those films as she mentioned them. Also the golden age of Disney was back when they first made feature length films. The time you're talking about is the Disney Renaissance but mainly the 90s. Not the 80s. That was the dark ages other than The Little Mermaid at the very end of the decade
