- Deep in the taiga, where humans are a rare sight, lies the beginning of Siberia’s giant river, the Lena. The taiga surrounding the Lena’s source is like an ocean - endless, immeasurable and dangerous. But it is habitat to many forest dwellers, who go about their lives and call it home. The taiga also opens itself up to people who know and respect the laws of the forest. Our film is about the mysterious beginning of the Lena River, its rapids and dark, ancient woods.

I have only less than a quarter Russian in my DNA but that doesn't stop me from loving this land 😻🙌🏻😻🙌🏻😻
@@denisevennet7656 The same to me.
Someone commented that the music sucks. I disagree. It's soft, sporadic and in the right places allowing for the nature sounds and people speaking. Beautifully crafted film, totally absorbing.
I agree.i myself enjoyed the music 🎶🎵
I'm from Bulgaria. I lived in Siberia for several years. These have been some wonderful years of my life. And I was forever captivated and in love with this amazing land forever. Thank you for this great virtual experience!
Я написала на английском, а потом увидела, что Вы россиянин. Благодарю Вас за это трогательное путешествие по Сибири - Вы вернули мне очарованье прошедших лет!
Not that many people know what life on the earth is like.
This is what I call a true connection worth a million.
Awesome video
That’s a beautiful video. Very professionally made and refreshing to watch. Thank you for sharing it. I’ve always been fascinated with Siberia. A truly pristine environment. Too bad the rest of the earth hasn’t remained this natural.
Beautiful places. And everything so full of living spirit. Thank you. This makes me appreciate both sides of the camera forwithout this invention I wouldn't ever see this place. I grew up high in the Andes mountains and I'm eternally grateful to have explored every inch of every road around there. "Road" being a loose term for nearly impassable tracks and river crossings that remind us we are fragile. And to breathe is precious.
Wonderful journey . . . pristine forests, and rivers, beautiful flowers, birds, and animals. Thanks a lot for virtually taking me along.
I would never in a million years embark on a journey like this but it’s wonderful that these folks made a documentary.
I would in a heartbeat if I could afford expenses ;) Watching vids is second best, but pleasant
I would go too. Where do I sign up?
Stunningly beautiful presentation. Christian Russia is the most wonderful country on earth. No exceptions. The wilderness is expansive where nature rules. All people’s should be able to see this presentation.
I have always fascinated with Siberia.
Me too.
Amazing video and Thanks for Sharing God bless. 🙏❤❤❤❤❤
Thoroughly enjoyed this. What an amazing place.
a lovely expedition. beautiful scenery.
Absolutely seeing this part of the world as it was for hundreds of years; unchanged and minimal damages by human activities. Every Russians should appreciate and cherish this wonderful landscape and nature.
I live in USA and I love it; but if I had to live somewhere else it would be eastern Russia, it is absolutely beautiful; of course we have the same thing just across the bering strait in Alaska, but anyway Russia is a beautiful country.
I feel like everyone who compliments this video is good people ❤️
beautiful Siberia 😍😍😍😍
uncontaminated by human presence
Respect for life in Siberia has been there for years.
Kudos to the entire team for putting in lot of hard work & producing a masterpiece.
This is an unthinkable beautiful and inspiring journey.
I loved this film, I’m ashamed of some of the Americans that were rude. I wish I could go there and live for a month or two in a cabin, with a gun. Beautiful!
Yes I'm in New Zealand and it would b great to do that trip with my rifles as well.
There are two sides to everything. I’m American and one who admires this piece 🇺🇸
Nice dear
But you're not American. You can't handle a gun
Exotic Nature.....many thanks to make this video for people from tropical part of the world...
Warm greetings from Jakarta, Indonesia
Exotic? Lol its funny how the nature you are not used to is "exotic". I find the rainforest and jungle exotic. But on the other hand i live in the boreal forest and have for all my life. Earth is a strange place for all of us.
@@bigswede7241 sure.... it reminds me 40 years ago when I study in Belgium, I was used to go into forest nearby with my Hispanic friends.
And now, my son still study in Utrecht, Netherlands
ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANTLY DONE DOCUMENTERY! I loved it! I don't know of a more beautiful place on this planet. Thank you for sharing this wonderful video. 5 Stars!
“Has it ever struck you that life is all memory, except for the one present moment that goes by you so quick you hardly catch it going?” ― Tennessee Williams.
Thank you for such a wonderful video on nature and it shows how tough it would have been for you to reach , spend your time in the wild as well making such a wonderful video. The sad part is by neglecting planet earth where for our short stay can be made so joyful, but by destroying our lovely nature and we plan to explore Mars, moon , space and universe instead of enjoying our stay on our beautiful planet called earth. I am sure mankind will wake up early to save our planet for future generations also to explore and enjoy our beloved EARTH. Thank you.
Reminds me of another series.....The Happy People......a 4 episode series....The best thing in UA-cam!!
.. бесспорно !
It must be a herculian task to make this wonderful documentary. Amazing God's wonderful creation.😍👍👌👏
i am from Siberia , my siberia
Luck you !! Indeed a heaven on earth. Soo beautiful & serene.
Love Russia. Thanks for video.
One day I will travel to Siberia! Beautiful, wild and large untouched areas.
@Alexander Trump I am Sami and indigenous peoples in northern Siberia are my sisters and brothers. I would have been more anxious to travel to Detroit in USA.
Excellent thank you..the people are very kind,,..poor horse I felt bad for him falling,,I love horses and these animals work hard,,the horse lost his footing and I had to look away...i was worried
I’m hooked thank you very much for giving me the chance to see Siberia
Scenic and very calmly narrated - transporting the viewer into a peaceful adventure. Lovely to watch. Well done!
You just described what I'm looking for!
Always reassuring to see a comment like this.
Peace from NZ ✌️
😍 Love from Philippines ❤️
The filming is superb. The voice over and music is perfect. Thanks for creating an amazing experience... I feel like I am there with you guys! 😎🐎🐎
Hlo
Russia should be proud of it's almost untouched nature.Siberia is "Earth"as it once was .And it will probably stay last living and breathing resort on Earth when we destroy the most of it..Greetings and love to Russia and Siberia from brothers and sisters from Serbia!
A true wilderness in pristine condition. Thank you for this documentary
These Russians are really brave. This isn't Survivor Island....oh, no, this is SIBERIA, the Amazon of the North. These guys are the toughest that exist, without a doubt. No special gear, no roads....just a rifle, horses, and whatever the hell they can find along the way. Lewis and Clark has nothing on Gennady. This is the Klondike of the 1880s....but 138 times bigger, emptier and with more and slightly bigger and hungry Wolves and BEARS. Nope, I wouldn't do it, but LOVE the video of real people doing real things. Perhaps only in Russia.....
Really enjoyed that it’s a relief to see we still have beautiful wildness left please keep it that way. To have a job like that must be a dream they are so lucky. Thanks for a great film.
great soundtrack. Thanks
I love watching this video, adventure nice view and facinating at all
Wow what a great video. I fully enjoyed it . I have worked in the bush doing contacts for mining companies it brings back memories of my time spent on the land
The narrator reminds me of marlin Perkins and Jim Fowler of Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom series back in the 60s and 70s. Very soothing voice. Very good documentary. Thumbs up.
I love this Siberian journey and documentary . Thank you for sharing 🙂
This is the best documentary I ever seen fantastic we could understand stand our earth what a beautiful planet
Wonderful! Thank you.
Thank you for a fascinating trip to a land we will never be able to see in real life .
The squirrel squatting on the axe was just one of the many great shots.
chipmunk, not squirrel
Thanks for this Awezome video. I love the way you show us everything including big and small animals, insects , trees , birds ,huts and vistas..
I really enjoyed that! greetings from Canada to all my forest brothers and sisters we are more alike than not ! Siberia is awesome!
Hi, my name is Mariam, i'm Indonesia. I stay in north Sumatera. I live in a small village in Riau. My village is nice but not same with Siberia or Alaska bicause here in my village are palm forest and no snow either. That is why i though Siberia or Alaska more beautiful.
Mariam! Everyone who lives in Siberia and Alaska loves to go to rest, where it is warm and palm trees grow.
@@wildlife-siberia-ukraine38 yea, palm tree in Siberia or Alaska isnot same palm tree in our plant. We plant palm tree for cooking oil so i think is not same with palm in Siberia and Alaska.
Spasiba za video. Thank you for English version, saw the link to this in the comment section in the Russian version. I like both versions, good to hear Russian language. Poka.
Beautiful video, am from Kenya🇰🇪, I've enjoyed watching how beautiful the nature outside tropics is, great job for making this Documentary
Great work, authentic, and comforting documentary. Many thanks for the trip...
Thx Vasiliy for that very good keep going Ok.. Greetings from Canada 👌🌿💕🌺🍷✌
Your films are like treasures from times gone by. Great family viewing both poetic and educational. In contrast to most modern nature documentaries that are fast paced, garish, and contrived. One small error in the title, the predominant conifers in the forests are pine, larch, fir, and spruce. I could be wrong but I didn't see any cedars.
Thank you!
Cedars are everywhere .... Cedar - from afar it looks like a pine tree.
@@wildlife-siberia-ukraine38 Thanks for your reply! We love cedars and have planted some Himalayan cedars (Cedrus deodara). Now I just searched and see the Siberian cedar (Pinus sibirica) is known as a cedar but isn't what they call a "true cedar" (genus Cedrus). No matter, they are all in the pine family (Pinaceae) and are beautiful trees.
Fantastic production. Thanks from Brazil!
I would pay money to be able to have this experience

Greetings from the BIG SKY. I've gone through some of Montana's toughest country, fishing, and the stuff you're showing me sure makes my stuff look like a training ground.
Truly wonderful video. Such videos take us to the remote places by sitting in our drawing rooms. These videos make us a World travelers without spending a penny from our pockets.
Awesome vid.
Turn the music all the way down can't hear the narrator because of it
Yes
How broke are you pathetic
@@joedirte716 Can't understand your English, bro! What is the meaning of "broke" in your style of the English language?
Thanks for the English version
That's kinda a racist statement
@@unacceptableviews4404 smh thanking someone for a video in their language is racist? You must be very simple minded
@@deepblueseeds5563 that's such a white privileged hateful statement. You have no right to speak on such matters. If something is called racist and you say it's not then you are a racist.
One of greatest rivers in the world
Thank you for sharing this magnificent video. Greeting from the USA !!
Beautiful film. It is my lifelong dream to visit Siberia. What a wonderful part of the world.
I've seen a lot of Adventure type videos , this one definitely one of the best. I have lived out on a farm, many miles from bigger cities for 31 years. 30 years of cutting my own wood, hunting, Fishing survival by a little bit tougher means then most. Wouldn't trade it for anything
You wouldn't want to break down, get sick, have an accident needing medical help or run out of food or warm clothes, fuel etc out there. And all those hungry wild animals there would soon make a meal of you if you didn't have a few smart survival skills. Very nice place but I could not survive there.
Great trip, thanks for sharing the video with the amazing landscape of Siberia. Good video 👍
Thank you for taking me on this incredible journey with you ,You and your country it is so beautiful I did not know that Siberia could be so beautiful the animals the plant life the trees and all you shared with us thank you so much for that Francis New Zealand
Great production value to kick back and relax into rest to
I visited Siberia/Irkustr in 1990. Really pristine and unspoilt environment. Very welcoming and hospitable people. Tons of love from Mauritius.

Such a beautiful documentary with lots of wildlife shots.
Ah.. such a beautiful and educational documentary. A treat to watch this early in the morning before… I’ll be off to work. 🙏
Refreshing experience to the mind when watching the siberian wilderness and the Lena River.
Excellent nature documentary, but the great music is WAY TOO LOUD. Louder than the narration.
Beautiful people and culture!
Vasiliy.i thank you for this awesome video. Thank-you for taking me with you.God Bless.
When the fluid in the thermometer is huddled at the bottom of the tube, i know it is a beautiful place i'd rather see than visit. thanks for the journey!
