Hi, I've just discovered your channel... I really appreciate what you do to help people with modest systems figure out how to run their games better... Dragon's Dogma 2 seems to be a new problematic one... would be nice if you can look into that game at some point... although the game is also plagued by more issues other than the pc performance itself... but I'm hopeful that this could be improved in the upcoming patches.
Hello and welcome to a hopefully fruitfull journey with the channel, as for Dragon's Dogma 2, because of it's current state, an optimization guide will not help at all, the game needs to be fixed by the developers first, maybe in the future things will change.
most important for low and mid cards to set shadow to medium, with my rx 6800 it let me play at 4k 60 fps with fsr dynamic at stable 60 fps on all settings high except shadows, dynamic upscaling is also better than focusing on quality or performance since some scenes need more and some less power, and dynamic setting works amazing
Not sure what I missed on my own. But you saved me dude lol. I was getting 30 fps dips and it was very jarring. But I implemented your settings, and it worked like a charm. Thanks dude!
Im writing this bc probably someone have same parts as i do. So i have ryzen 5 5600x, rtx 3060 12gb, 32gb ram. Ive set my resolution to 2K and ive used his settings from the video, but ive changed my dlss to performance (bc youll get fps and there is literally no difference even comparing to quality setting) and i can say im pretty happy with how my game runs, bc i get over 60 fps, even over 70 in areas like jungles and forests, in deserts probably even more i didnt check. So if any of you are trying to setup ur settings with same or similar components, heres a tip. Hope it works out for you too. 🙂

Thank you and great job. ( i'm patiently waiting for your optimized settings for ghost of tsushima when it drops on pc :) )
1:13 Tripping, SMAA at 1440p looks nearly flawless. You either have dynamic res on here, or forgot to disable the sharpness settings when showing off and smaa. It should not look that pixelated. This game barely has any aliasing to begin with, DLAA and TAA are overly strong and destroy details for no reason here. Y'all dislike the sharp image, then proceed to slap on heavy sharpening to fix DLSS blurriness, resulting in this 3:22 deepfried, oversharpened mess that looks uglier than any shimmering ever could. But besides that, great useful video 👍
This was THE BEST video I could ask for, even better seeing that I have just a slighty more powerful rig so it should be fine. Thank you for this in depth guide♥️
Textures on very high can demolish fps on my 6700xt, it feels as the game is using more than 12gb, as the fps halves, gpu power drops, and ram utilization goes up. I recommend to keep it on high, it looks pretty much the same and causes no issues.
@ZykopathOfficial yep, during the first opening scenes, when aloy is traveling around the world, when the game is showcasing all these different locations, it crashed on my 6700xt. A minute before the crash, I saw ram usage at 26gb, I have 32, so it probably filled up the ram as well, which indicates to a memory leak. Anyways after switching the textures to high, I had no issues in the intro, went through it with no fps drops, or crashed. It is worth noting that I am playing at 4k with fsr set to target 60fps, so my vram utilization should be a little bigger than what you showed here.
2 days playing and tried multiple options , the fps is good but the picture or the game looks kinda blurry after 1 hour playing my eyes start to hurt like hell , any idea what could be? just happen with this game.

RTX4070 user here, I have a 2560x1440, 60Hz monitor (no GSync) and found that MAX quality using DLSS (Dynamic) works great. It pretty much locks to 60FPS and I don't notice any visual difference so if the RESOLUTION is dropping it's not enough to notice. Your Graphics card FAN NOISE might be pretty high though if you end up close to 100% GPU utilization using Dynamic (or running with no FPS cap). I have a modded card (with Noctua fans) so it's dead silent, but if your fans are noisy then I'd do something like THIS: - optimize visuals around 80FPS average - then use VSYNC (i.e. for 60Hz monitor) or set a manual FPS cap (if you have VRR/GSync) to hit 60FPS That should keep the GPU closer to 75% utilization and much quieter... this is what I was doing to keep the noise down before I modded my stupid Asus RTX4070 Dual OC that was noisy in demanding games.
