Nice video! Interesting how NZ used to use a lot of American big rigs in their fleet

LF04 and TL205 are great examples of what happens when you give a department a proper truck! Especially 205; Mack's were made to outlive them all back then. Those, ahem, "Turntable Platform Ladders" that are made today are a joke. Can't knock the engines at all though, the Dennis's were good rigs and Scania makes a nice engine (even if the lack of a hosebed is rather depressing). Also, love the orange and blue on the PD cruisers, that's incredibly unique.

I thought that China was the only "non-American" country that had American fire trucks. But the moment I saw this compilation of classic fire trucks from New Zealand I was stunned to see American trucks, also in that island country.

I didn’t know china had any. Chile has some American rigs, and they’re quite interesting.

That Spartan Charger is still part of the Relief fleet, and still sees action

@@HotForgeChaos And in Australia also haven, in low numbers, a few Freightliners. But only I knew about Freightliner. Other brands a Mack, Peterbilt, etc as fire trucks in Australia... No idea.

Look up the Santiago De Chile Fire Department. Most companies there have North American style rigs mixed with some Iveco's or Man's.

Now as far as I know, Papakura still operates their old Scania tanker truck. I think the old Mitsi and Scania pump trucks have since been replaced but those were run up until the past few years.

Not many old Aussie clips sorry, only been here since 2011. Also, Aussie emergency services don't keep their trucks as long as NZ...

The Salvage Tender mostly does water removal after sprinkler activations, they have big squeegees and vacuum cleaners among other things.

Some great catches there my friend, I remember the Internationals going around Christchurch doing their business, and I also remember that Christchurch had a MACK very similar to the one in your videos, but not as long, best regards from a Christchurch lad now living in Melbourne.

What type of siren do these use? I heard some that sound like a mix of powercall and LTS. Any idea what they are?

Good question, I've yet to get a straight answer on that one.

Is there someone there that can get a picture of the siren controller on the one the CF Mack rear mount ladder and the service tender has?

One bonus of being on the far side of the globe, no particular nation has a monopoly on the vehicle fleet!
