Aurora talks with the crowd and sings Life on Mars

- Over four years after my first upload, I've recently had a few requests to post this. Aurora performing in Milwaukee (USA) in November 2016. This was her final song of the night. Keep in mind that this was recorded with an old Canon digital camera, and my arms were getting tired from trying to hold it steady throughout the show, so it's a bit shaky in parts.
Some context of her chat with the crowd...
- She was sick with a cold and flu during this part of the tour. In the Happy Birthday video she mentioned how she could hit the low notes from being sick.
- The keyboardist that she introduces is Sean McVerry, who joined her band for some of her American concerts in 2016 and 2019.
And before you ask, this was the only full song that I recorded of the show. I only recorded short excerpts of her other songs. As a David Bowie fan, this song is how I discovered Aurora, and her version still gives me chills. Enjoy.
Brilliance. Pure unadulterated brilliance.
Wow, I had no idea she had ever come to my state before. I wish I had known about Aurora in 2016. I definitely would have gone to this show. Hopefully she will come back. Thanks for sharing with us. She is fabulous.
yes, i live on jupiter. i wish i had known about her too.
@@adolescent3750 GURL YOU LIVE ON JUPITER IS THIS A DREAM OR IS THIS REAL? WHAT
She's so wonderful, she makes me cry!
She’s amazing.
I've been down the rabbit hole for about a year now, constantly being re-surprised nearly any time new live performances are uploaded - every time there is variation, re-voicing instruments, different arrangements - like all aurora fans im at risk of rambling into general hyperbole - we all know she is a level in her own right. There are now three versions of her doing Life On Mars and I love all three of them for a blinding overload of different reasons.
Having just found it, this version really got me - not only the wholesome crowd chat first, but she gives this one a searing extra 5-10 percent bite and it's just electrifying.
The way "cavemen go" almost bleeds out of her like actual pain at 09:05 is one of the most breathtaking live moments of Aurora, or really any live music by anyone, i've ever seen.
Thanx!
