The Deliverance Temple used to be the Odeon Cinema that was back in the 1983, The Riverside building was an offices, and my old primary school Bethlehem is still there, the flyover showing John John, Old St Joseph Road. My childhood walking to and from school up and down. That building at the top of the flyover used to be St Phillip school, when you cross the road those building were there for years and the old South Quay was on the other side around the corner of lower Piccadilly street.. thanks for the memories
Feel free to pin point any building you will like us to be aware. Just make sure to put a timeline to it so we know which building you are writing about.
Thanks for sharing. Such a beautiful island we have! Luscious and green. Trinis need to appreciate that! The whole of Trinidad need a make over: scrub and paint walls, need sidewalks and proper drains. Do they upkeep anything? Like you mentioned you don't have to be rich to have some class!
Hi iam enjoying your videos , I want to thank you for what you do my name is Olive and I left Trinidad a long time and as I look at the east side video it is the first time I am seeing the Over past the place is wonderful it is nice Thank you for giving me a glance of my home. God Bless you
I grew up there and moved many years ago, for a developed country like Trinidad the Government could do a lot more better in there areas it look like those areas will stay so until God come boy
By the way, the government did give out money to the poorer section of the communities to upgrade their houses. They probably played mass or travel with de money
Heard Govt allotting 9 Billion $$$ each to the Police Services and Security Services to control crime. Yuh think that would help? What about d water and road situations throughout d country?? Any one else has a plan? Desalination??
There are so many buildings in that shot but the only teal one I saw is in the background which makes up part of the government complex. The blue one that looks like a ship is Nicholas Tower.
Why you people seems to bring politics in everything nearly every city has run down areas ,new York ,Michigan, London, California, Kingston etc....... Port of spain has those areas particularly in East POS which the government has a redevelopment project going on in East POS
Have you ever ventured into this part of Port of Spain in Trinidad an island in the West Indies?
No. I will need a tour guide to take me around. Trinidad looks very different from the last time I was there. I would get lost

Surprised to see so much green in Port of Spain
You must be talking about the part by the fly over the park because other than that it is mostly concrete.

There is so much to do this country and it will take more than just money to solve it!
Place look so run down dam,
Unfortunately, this part of Port of Spain is kept this way - more could be done.
There is no Eric Williams Plaza. It is Riverside Plaza.
Thanks for the correction. The Eric Williams Plaza is actually the Financial Complex.
It was a train station and a bus station.
Aldith, thanks for your input.
