  • Thought I'd put my own stamp on a DIY solar shower. I made glaringly obvious mistakes along the way, but I got there in the end. Hope you enjoy the video.

Rather a long video but with skipping around it was very enjoyable. Kinda felt relaxing. The mistakes being captured helped this project feel more real and achievable by the everyday person. I am currently looking to build a L shaped tube along the top of my Tacoma and the bed so this definitely gave me some insights on what to look at for. Cheers mate, thank you for your time. Happy adventuring.

Good job! Thanks for the laughs... loved the stilts LOL I'm going to make one too for the roof rack on my Prado.. full circle on the inside. I'll be running my water through a pump that is in the back of my car, so no need to pressurise. Cheers ;) Hope to see you on the road sometime!

Hot tip for these, they are not really rated for air pressure, so 15psi would be preferred. Also you could get a car inner tube, fill it to 40psi, throw a regulator on it for 15psi, connect it up, set and forget (don’t have to re pressurise).

My only concern with that length of pipe is water sloshing on braking. Some placing in of baffles would be advisable. I think also that any air pressure leak would be from the screw type caps. Plumbers tape might seal up the threads? Good job though. 👍🏻🙏🏽😷🦘

How long can you run the water at 15psi before pumping up again? I am trying to work out if the air valve and pumping is the way to go or do I just installed a 12v bilge pump or something similar to pump the water out. Thanks for including your mistakes.
