My MIL is moving into a house that actually has internet, but she is *not* tech savvy. I ordered this for her and it just came in today. This router will be perfect for her 1100 sq.ft. home, and since it's Unifi I can remotely configure it the same way I do my UDMP and fix any potential problems there, too. It's truly a miracle device haha
Thank for watching. It is a great little device for people with fairly simple networks who want the Unifi Experience. Great that you can use the remote access to help her!
Unless your existing router is a Ubiquiti one you’ll have none of the router/gateway functionality with just a Cloudkey. You can still setup VLANs on another brand of router and use them with Ubiquiti but it won’t be on one interface.

Thanks for the info, it works perfect.
Great, thanks for watching.
What port do i plug in LAN? General builing internet setup
There are two ports. One is the WAN (with the globe) the other is the LAN.
Can the wan port be used as a LAN if you're using it as a wifi mesh?
Hi, thanks for watching. I’m not sure actually I’ve not set it up as a mesh point. It would make sense that you could.
What is the difference between this and just using an existing router and adding the cloud key?

Under the security tab I didn’t see the suspicious activity
It's just a gateway and firewall. It only needs two ports.
It’s not just a gateway and a firewall, it’s also a router. So two ports doesn’t seem enough to me. But I guess it’s personal preference.
